Double update cuz I love you guys!!!

Calum's POV

"There's my beautiful Mads." Maddie turns from her phone sharply as she hears my voice, grinning instantly as she makes eye contact with me.

"It feels so nice to be dark again." She nods, running her finger through her hair. "The girls helped me do it last night, and I got to meet Bella finally."

"You look great, Mads." I chuckle.

"You've looked better, Cal. I'm gonna see if we can at least get your hair evened out today."

"My hair?" I frown, gingerly lifting my left arm to brush across my head.

"Ya they had to put in some stitches over your right ear, so they had to shave that half." She laughs as my eyes go wide, feeling over the place where my curls abruptly turn into stubby bristles.

"And I told you your hair looked bad." I roll my eyes, chuckling lightly.

"It did. But we fixed it. Now we just have to fix your hair and wait for the rest of you to slowly fix itself."

"I can feel pain all over, Mads, what is the damage? And how long am I out of commission on my bass? And you?"

She smirks, rolling her eyes at my added comment. "You sure you're ready for those answers?" She sighs, sliding onto the bed and taking my left hand in both of hers, worry painted across her beautiful face.

"Please, baby." I nod softly.

"You have a concussion, and whiplash. Also a collapsed lung, but that hasn't given you too much trouble since they fixed it in surgery on Thursday. Five of your ribs are a broken."

"That explains why it fucking hurts to breathe." I interrupt her quickly.

"Your right wrist broke, and from what I understand it was completely shattered. They said they put some screws in it while you were in surgery. You'll get a proper cast today or tomorrow depending on swelling. Abdominal bleeding, and they removed part of your liver. I haven't looked at your stomach at all. I leave when they change your bandages, I'm too afraid to see it. All of that is six to eight weeks of recovery, plus extra time dependent on how you are feeling. So you're bass is going to have to be lonely a while."

"And me." She smirks, getting me to chuckle.

"Mads, what about my leg?"

"Um," She sighs, squeezing my hand tightly, "You broke your right femer, they put in a rod and some screws. It could be up to six months before you feel back to yourself with that injury."

"Six months?"

"He says you'll be able to walk sooner than that, and physical therapy will help. You may even be able to get back on stage before it fully heals. But it might hurt a lot. At least six to eight weeks for everything else though."

"Damn." I sigh, letting my head rest back fully on the pillow.

"But at least you are alive. When I got here Thursday that wasn't something they knew for a fact."

"It was Chris wasn't it?" I finally asks, chewing on my lip as I anticipate her answer.

"Ya. He's somewhere in this hospital too. I have no idea what condition he is in and I don't care. He was in the ICU but I never saw him while you were up there. They'll turn him over to police custody as soon as he is released and he'll go back to prison in Washinton for good. I will get the opportunity to tell him and a judge all the things he did to me, and put another sentence on him. He might even be tried for the accident and attempted murder in your case now too. He's gone. You're stupid reckless post on Instagram worked. Don't ever do something that stupid again please."
