Every time life seems to be going well something has to interrupt the fun, and this time hell is speeding towards Calum and Maddie like a bullet train with no breaks... is there anyway for everyone to come out alive?

Calum Hood...
"I'm only stupid for you, Mads. So long as you are safe I won't." I sigh, "Even having to cancel the rest of tour, even knowing I can't pick up my bass for a couple months, it was worth it. Because I have you sitting here beside me, and I get to go home with you." I assure her, squeezing her hand softly. "How is Gramps?" I frowns as the thought only now crossed my mind.
"Broken elbow and some bruises. You took the full brunt of the wreck. He and Grams are at Angie'a house in Idaho already. They send their love and well wishes for your recovery."
"Thank goodness he's okay."
"He's just glad he was who was with you. He wanted to do something stupid like you did for months, but Grams wouldn't let him."
"I'm just glad no one died."
"Me too. And now we can start to put it behind us."
"Ya." I sigh, "I hate that I have to ask, but would you come here so I can kiss you. I haven't got to in so long!" I whine.
"Of course." Maddie laughs leaning over me carefully to bring our lips together.

Liked by ashtonirwin, sam.madsen15, and 493,576 others. Calumhood: Personal feels about not being able to play my bass for another six weeks at least. It's been two weeks since the accident, so I figure I should fill you all in a bit. Seven broken bones, ten metal screws and a rod, concussion, whiplash, collapsed lung, half a liver lost, and 604 stitches total. I won't be back to 100% until halloween most likely, but I'll be back out there as soon as doctors say I can. Love you all, thanks for the constant support and love being sent my way.

"Ready to go home, Cal?" I ask, sitting curled on the chair beside his bed.
"So ready. To take you home, see Duke again, rest in our own bed." He nods softly. The whiplash and concussion pain has lessened immensely in the last couple weeks, though he is still complaining about some stiffness in his neck.
