Chapter 5: Exploring

Start from the beginning

I took pictures of my own. I looked up at the sky and saw it was getting darker. "Alright time to go back." I said. "Just a little bit longer." Chrystal said. "What? No. Angel's right. Let's go back." Sophia said. "Come on guys. Just a little bit longer." Chrystal said. "What? No. Chrystal look at the sky. It's getting dark. We need to go back before we get caught." I said. "How?" She asked.

"They'll see that we're not in our cabins." I said. "Angel, Sophia relax." She said. "No!!" Sophia shouted. We looked at her. "Chrystal, Angel is righty. We need to go back. It's getting dark and if we stay out here, we're probably gonna freeze to death or get eaten by other animals. We have to go back to the yacht." She said.

"Okay guys." Chrystal said. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Look the real reason I wanted to bring you out here is because I wanna check out that abandoned house Jordan told us about." She said. Me and Sophia gasped. "Are you out of your mind?!" Sophia cried. "Honestly Chrystal. That's insane. You heard the story behind that house. Forget it." I said.

"Look we're already close. I can feel it. We just have to keep moving." She said. "No. We have to go back." I said. I turned around and walked off. "I'm going too!!" Sophia said. "Guys please!! There's more to that story than Jordan told." Chrystal yelled. She ran after us. "Sophia, Angel, listen to me!! There's something in that house that we can have!!" She cried.

"Have?! What, that dumb treasure?! Who knows what the fuck is in that damn house!! It's probably just a myth!!" I yelled. "Listen I know it sounds crazy but there's something in that house." She said. I stared at her. "Chrystal are you out of your fucking mind? There's nothing but abandoned stuff in that house." I said.

"Honestly Chrystal. I can't be believe you dragged us out here because of that stupid myth." Sophia said. Chrystal looked upset. Her eye is welled up. A tear escaped her eye. She shook her head and walked away. "Alright fine. Let's go back." She said, sadly. I looked at Sophia. "Chrystal?" I called. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong? Why do you want so badly to explore that house?" Sophia asked, curiously. Chrystal sighed. "Because....you guys know how my Mom sighed over some property rights to Mr. Griffin?" She said. We nodded. "Well that's not all. There's a fee so Mr. Griffin can keep my family's aquarium open." She said.

"A fee?" I repeated. She nodded. "How much is it?" Sophia asked. "Twenty thousand." She said. Whoa. "Wow." I said. Chrystal nodded. "Yeah. And we don't got that kind of of money. If we did, we wouldn't Mr. Griffin to have part ownership of our aquarium." She said. "How much money do y'all got?" I asked.

"Seven thousand, which is way less than what we need to keep our aquarium open." She said. "So that's why you wanted to come out here? To find that treasure?" Sophia asked. Chrystal nodded. Then she started crying. Me and Sophia hugged her. "It's okay. It's gonna be okay." I whispered. "Look we'll help you find it." Sophia said.

"What?" Chrystal said. I looked at her. "Yes. We'll help you look for that house and see if we can find that treasure." She said. "Angel?" Chrystal said. "Count me in. But if we die, I'm haunting your spirit. I don't know how Imma do that but I'll find a way." I said. We continued walking around the forest. We occasionally saw some animals. I looked around and saw a most descending on the ground.
