Andy took a deep breath before knocking on Bill's door later that morning. It was answered by Jenna, who didn't look too happy to see him.
"What do you want?" Jenna sighed. "I'd like to talk to Misty." Andy told her. He noticed that her fingernails had been painted silver. It matched her silver leggings. "Nice nails." He complimented. Jenna just rolled her eyes, and called for Misty.
When Andy saw Misty, he widened his eyes to the sight of her purple painted nails, faded jeans, and hot pink sweater. He had hardly ever seen her wear anything with color.
"I let her borrow my clothes." Jenna bragged without smiling. "I'll leave you two alone." After she was gone, Misty gave Andy an amused look.
"I need to explain this to you." Andy said shutting both of them outside. "You see...in relationships like ours with people at our age...umm...the thing is Misty, it's a little awkward for parents to have somebody their kid is in love with living with them."
"But why?" Misty asked crossing her arms. "Well it's a little hard to explain." Andy said scratching his head. "Uh...well...it's complicated."
"No it isn't." Misty said shaking her head. "You don't want me there, and neither do your parents." "No! No that's not it!" Andy assured her. Misty ignored him and took a step closer.
"It has to! You're embarrassed of me and my powers, and you want me to forget about them! That's why you denied them! And your parents must think I'm dangerous!"
"No Misty! That's not true! You're the most important thing in my life! You have to believe me!" Andy begged.
He reached out for her, but she just smacked his arm. "If you loved me you would love me for who I am!" Misty barked angrily. "And....I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore!"
She opened the door, and slammed it behind her. Andy just stood there, staring at the door in complete shock. He felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest.
A few moments later, Misty opened the door again. For just a split second, Andy had hope that she changed her mind. Instead, Misty just stared at him. With tears appearing in her eyes, she ripped off the ruby necklace Andy had bought for her that day in Granger Town when they were trying to find a mirror to get to the Shadow Realm.
Misty thrusted the cherished necklace she had never taken off onto the pavement, and shut the door behind her without haste. Trembling, Andy picked up the necklace. It was the first gift Misty had ever received from him. Trying to stay strong, he placed the necklace in his pocket, and patted it gently. He turned around, and walked slowly away from the house.
Ryan picked up Ethan from his therapy group. "Ethan, I need to talk to you about something." Ryan said after they got home. "What?" Ethan asked.
"I saw the drawings you made." Said Ryan. "They're not drawings you see everyday are they?" Ethan just stubbornly looked at the ground. "Look Ryan, I know you don't believe me but I do not need you to show these to my therapist!" He angrily snapped.
"Wait no no, I'm not going to do that. I just want you to tell me what those drawings mean." Ryan corrected him.
Ethan went upstairs. A few minutes later, he came back with a stack of his drawings. He sat down on the living room couch next to his brother.
Ethan showed him the drawing with Misty and the bridge. "This was when I first saw Misty in the Mind Realm." He explained. "We were standing on a bridge, and she was a good few feet away from me. We could also hear this voice. It was talking to Misty about how Daruke was still alive, and what she had to do. The voice didn't even notice I was there I don't think. I was just there to listen."
