A Bughead story

It had now been about two or three months, since Jughead and Betty's so called "fight", and they were stronger than ever. Betty finally felt as if her life was going the right way, and she couldn't be happier. Over two months ago, when she was late for class, Veronica had covered up for her. Later, they talked the whole thing out, and Veronica apologised. She had even started dating Reggie, which made Betty very relieved, but also happy for her. Archie had also apologised, to the both of them, and even though they didn't talk much after, Betty had decided to forgive him. Jughead on the other hand still didn't trust him, but tried to stay calm for Betty's sake.
It was now Tuesday morning and Betty was talking with Veronica over the phone. She was so happy, she had gotten her best friend back, and it already felt, like they were closer than ever. It was also really nice to have someone to talk to and hang out with, when Jughead wasn't there.

- So I'll see you at pops after school?

- Definitely, see you then

Betty hung up the phone and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

{Some time later}
Betty and Veronica were talking until suddenly Veronica sighed loudly:

- Urgghh!

- What's wrong?

Betty asked confused, and Veronica pouted.

- This assignment is impossible! Plus I miss Reggie

- Come on V, I know it's hard, but we just gotta keep on trying, and don't worry you'll see him soon

Veronica rolled her eyes, and they continued.

{After school at pops}
Betty looked at the clock. Veronica was supposed to meet her fifteen minutes ago, where was she? She almost began leaving, before Veronica silently walked in. She sat down across from Betty, looking at the table, a worried look on her face.

- Hey what took you so long?

She didn't answer, so Betty asked:

- Are you okay?

Veronica slowly looked up at Betty.

- B I-I have to tell you something, and you're not going to like it. Hell, I don't even think you're going to believe me

She said, and Betty began getting worried.

- Just tell me V, it can't be that bad

- It-It's Jughead. He-He tried to kiss me

Betty was shocked. She didn't want to believe Veronica, but she was dating Reggie now, and they seemed to be happy. She had no reason to lie, so why would she? She didn't move. At all. At some point Veronica was even worried, she wasn't breathing.

- I-I have to go

Betty said, before storming out of pops, tears streaming down her face. She could hear Veronica yelling behind her, but she didn't care. She just ran. Before she knew it, she was standing outside Jughead's house. She didn't know, what she was doing, but apparently she had knocked since Jughead now opened the door. At first he smiled, but his smile soon turned into a worried look, when he saw her tears.
