Imagine: Reading with Satan by the fireplace.

You let out a small sigh as you pushed the covers of your bed off of you. You had spent the last hour trying to get to sleep, but insomnia decided to hit you hard. So, after rolling around for the hundredth time to try to get comfortable, you decided to give up.

You ran a hand over your hair to smooth it down before getting up. You went to the kitchen and got yourself a glass of water trying to figure out what to do to keep yourself entertained until you could fall asleep.

Finishing your glass of water, you decided to go to the library to see if there were any interesting books that you could read. You crept through the halls towards the library, making sure not to wake anybody else up. And when you got to the library, you walked over to the nearest shelf full of books. Letting your fingers delicately trace the spines of the books, you skimmed over the titles of the books.

Your eyes came to rest on a particular older book with many pages. You carefully picked up the book and opened it to a random page, your eyes scanning the page. It was talking about exorcisms of demons. The more you read the more creeped out you became by it.

"Couldn't sleep either?" you heard a voice say from behind you suddenly, causing you to let out a small scream and drop the book. You turned to look at who was there and saw Satan standing by the entrance of the library. "Satan! You scared me!" you pouted, picking up the now-closed book and dusting it off a little.

Satan smirked before walking up next to you and held out his hand as if asking you if he could see the book. You held his gaze as you handed him the book and it was only then that he looked away, down at the book.

"The Codex Gigas, more commonly known as The Devil's Bible. Careful with the books you choose here Y/N, you could end up casting a spell on yourself," Satan teased, making you chuckle a little. "Right, sorry," you replied. "Don't be, it's an interesting book. No one is a hundred percent sure who the author was, but whoever it was, legend has it that they sold their soul to a devil," Satan explained, enjoying the way your eyes lit up with excitement as he told you about it.

Satan took a step closer to you and slid the book back into its spot before pulling out another book. "Read this," Satan suggested, holding a different book out to you. You raised an eyebrow, taking the book before saying, "The Screwtape Letters?"

"Have you read it?" Satan asked. "No, what is it about?" you asked. "It's a series of letters from one demon to another giving advice on how to tempt a human soul into sin," Satan explained. "How do these demons tempt the human?" you asked, leaning slightly forward in excitement. "In different ways, one of them being sexual temptation," Satan replied looking intensely into your eyes, giving you a look that made you inwardly swoon.

You noticed how close you were to Satan and did your best to regather your composure, letting a smirk form on your face as you reached to the bookshelf and pulled out a book you saw earlier. You handed it to Satan, smiling now. "Wicked Wind?" he asked, his eyes hiding the slightest bit of confusion as he tried to figure out what you were doing.

"It's a detective-mystery novel about a human and demon pairing up," you replied with an innocent look. "You read that, I'll read this," you told Satan, making him smile. "Deal," he replied, moving towards the pair of large comfortable chairs that were in the library.

Once he was seated in one, he opened the book and began reading. Smirking to yourself, you approached the back of his chair and leaned over it, your hand on his shoulder with your lips right next to his ear. "Oh, by the way, it's also about a very hot and passionate romance between the human and the demon," you stated, watching as his jaw dropped slightly and you could almost hear his heart speed up.

You then walked over to the other chair and sat down, getting comfortable before opening the book and beginning to read. About an hour into reading, you were completely involved in the book, but the cold wind blowing outside the House of Lamentation made it cold inside the library.

You didn't want to disturb Satan for a blanket though, so you just continued to read the book. But Satan noticed you slightly shivering and quickly moved to remedy the situation. He placed a bookmark on the page he was on before shutting the book and moving to another corner of the library, pulling out a couple of blankets.

He placed the first blanket on the floor by the fireplace and started a fire and then he turned towards to you. "Come sit with me by the fireplace," he told you and you gladly obliged. You grabbed both your book and his as well as a couple of pillows and moved over to where Satan was.

You handed him his book before placing the pillows on the ground and sitting down on the blanket. Satan sat down next to you and covered both of you with the other blanket. You instantly felt warmer and smiled at Satan before saying, "Thank you."

Satan smiled in response before asking, "How are you liking the book?" "It's really good, I just got to the part where the demon is advised to make a list of women for the human to date," you replied, looking up at Satan, noticing how close you and he were.

"And?" he asked, pressing you to continue, wanting to know your honest thoughts on the book. "And, I have a feeling that the human is going to give in to the sexual desires any second now," you replied. Satan smirked before pulling you into a rough kiss, his hand tangled in your hair.

"You were right," he told you, breaking away from the kiss. "About what?" you asked. "The demon and the human do have a passionate romance, and I can't wait to see how it turns out," Satan told you. You let out a small chuckle and pecked his lips again before moving so that you were both laying down.

You snuggled into his chest as you both continued reading, thoroughly enjoying both the books and each others company. And after another hour or so, you both feel asleep, tangled in each other's arms with your books resting next to you.
