The walking dead (Clem x male reader S1)

Lee's POV.

We went through the sewers to Crawford. It took us a while, but we made it. Vernon signals us to stop as he walks over to a ladder.

"This is it. The school should be right above us." Vernon Says.

"Okay, y'all know the plan. Stay down, stay quiet and move quickly. In and out." I instructed everyone.

"And that goes especially for you." I Said turning to Clem. I walked towards the ladder and climbed up it to the manhole cover. I opened slowly and peaked my head out to see if any patrol was around. I didn't see any around.

"It's clear. Come up." I told everyone. They followed behind me to a bush by the school and we hid behind it.

"Where is everyone? Shouldn't there be guards around or something?" Y/N asked concerned.

"Yea, normally there's Some guards patrolling around this street." Vernon answered. We waited for a couple of minutes until I saw a guard standing in the middle of the street.

"You see em?" Kenny asked me.

"Yea. Kenny, you follow behind me. Everyone else, stay back. Me and Kenny will handle this." I Said. I moved over to the man slowly and pulled out the hatchet Ben gave me. I was about to put the hatchet through his skull until he turns around, facing me, turns out it was a walker instead. Before it grabbed me, I quickly hit the walker with the hatchet and it died in a instant, falling to the ground. Everyone else walked up behind me with confused faces, like me.

"What the fuck is a walker doing in here?!" I Said out loud.

"That's not the only one..." Y/N said as more walkers appeared from down the street.

"Get inside the school, now!!!" Kenny yelled as we rushed into the school, closing the main doors. We ran up the steps and made it to the second floor of the building. Vernon and Brie shuts the glass door and blocks it with their body weight.

"Shit! Fuck, you think they saw us?" Kenny said to me. I looked at Clementine, she looked scared, so I said something that wouldn't scare her more than she already is.

"No, I think we're good." I Said.

"The hell happened here? I thought this place was secure?!" Christa Says.

"Same thing that happened to everyone and everything. The dead will always win, it seems." Molly says cryptically.

"Oh man, like, we're so screwed, you guys." Says Ben.

"No, this is a good thing." Vernon Says. We all stare at him confused.

"And how exactly is this a good thing?" Kenny asked.

"The people of Crawford were very smart. Now their dumb and slow people." Vernon explains his statement.

"He has a point. We just can't let em corner us. The plan hasn't changed." I say.

"The plan hasn't changed? Every time walkers show up, the plan always changes. Did you even see how many of them are out there right now?" Ben asked, clearly in a panic.

"No, I wasn't doing a head count, unlike you. Now, let's get what we came here for and get the hell outta here." Christa Says to him. Brie then walked a little down the hallway and looked to her right.

"It's this way. Come on." She says as she walks down the hall. We all follow her and we heard growing coming from a classroom that looked pretty secure, but I'll be the judge of that when a whole group of walkers pour out of there and try to eat us for dinner.
