Learning to trust the Fate...

Start from the beginning

She told Can that although Yigit stayed in the hospital, and she stayed at home with Ceycey, Yigit kept urging her to publish her book. As Yigit told her, it would have helped her to get her mind off Can's absence. Oh, was he wrong. It only brought Can's absence to the forefront of her despair. She worked on that book like a madwoman. Day in and day out. Night after nightmarish night. Each word she wrote had etched itself in her heart a thousand times more painfully than the first time she wrote it in her original notebook. All because of her photographic memory - because she was aware that each word she rewrote was one that HE did not read when she offered the notebook to him. She hoped to make Can understand what she meant. She looked at him and realized that he did, because after all he did read both her notebook and her book. And his teary eyes were proof enough that he did...

So, she continued. Ceycey helped her as much as he could. He understood her pain, amplified by the void he felt after Ayhan left him and their love behind. He also knew that she needed to finish the book for her own sanity - whatever she had left of it. Each word that she wrote down came to her as a photographic memory of how it looked when she wrote it down the first time, followed with flashes of actual live images, emotions, and memories of how Can's touches made her feel. And all of it stole her breath out of her lungs.

To make Can understand it better, she mentioned but a few memories that proved so important and so painful to relive during her darkest days without him. And as she mentioned them, those memories came back to them both now:
- How they kissed for the very first time in the darkness of the opera, because his lips captured her heart of a dreamer and her soul forever
- How they met at the agency, because his deep dark brown eyes froze her breath on her lips the moment he looked at her while asking for her name
- How he held her close when he caught her traspassing in his home
- How he caressed her wounded knee in his office after she had fallen on it while escaping feom his house, because that was the first time she saw his good heart
- How she felt riding in the back of his motorcycle to the printshop
- How he made her laugh, wholeheartedly, while they enjoyed a meal while waiting for the printshop press
- How she got glimpses of who he really was as a man while he spoke with Akif and when they worked together by candlelight
- How she felt when he first spoke with her about seeing Albatrosses in real life during his travels
- How she felt when she stood in his room, in his shirt, with hair still dripping wet
- How she drove his car to Agva - and she skillfully reminded him now that the engine breaking down in the middle of the forest was NOT her fault
- How she felt when he stood in front of her, shirtless , Zeus-like, and with towel wrapped at his waist, because that was the first time she noticed his Albatross tattoo
- How he changed her life, and their life, when he pulled her into safety and saved her from falling at the Bride Rock
- How she felt when he chose to eat dinner with her and not Arzu
- How she felt when they walked along the beach and she told him about her dream to write a novel and travel to Galapagos, because he was the first man she ever revealed that dream to
- How she gathered her courage after Arzu's photoshoot at his home and told him that she would go if he told her to go, but she would stay if he told her to stay
- How she felt when Arzu left Can's home after drinking the strawberry smoothie, because he told her to fess up and admit that she felt something for him
- How she felt when they spent the day on their photoshoot, especially on the boat, when she began to realize he was getting close to her, much too close for her shy heart
- How she felt when she wore the pink gown and she hoped to have danced with him, only to end up dancing with Fabri
- How she felt when she felt his hand grasping hers, and his eyes asking her to follow him, because she knew she would go with him anywhere he would ask her to go since she already trusted him enough to follow his lead
- How she felt seeing him shirtless while chopping wood at the mountain house... That made him raise a brow because her book mentioned none of that little detail....
