?Worth The Wait? Spinel x Gem reader (Gender Neutral!!)

By the time evening hit, you and spinel were absolutely drained from the events today had brought you. You were barely able to keep your eyes open, you were so exhausted. So, you both decided to take a nap before you did anything else for the day.

Spinel slept peacefully in the bed, nestled up in the blankets and pillows, with your two eldest nestled comfortably against her chest and gem while you slept curled up at the foot of the bed like a massive (color) lion to ensure spinel's safety, your long mane-like hair covering your back like a blanket and your bushy tail curled over your two youngest that were nestled against your belly, along with your gem.

Eep..!

your eyebrow twitched at a soft, barely audible squeak that sounded in the silence. eh?

Eek..! Eek!

You grunted lightly, slowly raising your head to the source of sound, your gaze flicking two squirming bundles against your belly. Moving your tail, you found that the young spinel had crawled atop her brother and was clinging to him while he was protesting, squirming vigorously beneath her. He was responsible for the making the irritable squeaks

Meep! Eek! Meep!

You let a smile float to your face at the display and chuckle softly. It hasn't even been that long since birth, and already the first display of their mother's energy is showing. You chuckled lightly. And surprise, it's a spinel... "Mmn.. what's the hubbub..?" You lift your head to see spinel, who was awoken by the small but sharp noises piercing the air, regarding you with a tired, curious and warm stare. You scoffed playfully. "Well... it seems our daughter has learned how to attack already." You answered, a smug edge in your voice. Spinel blinked then stretched her neck slightly, leaning forward for a better view, squinting in the room's dimmed lights. She releases a sigh-laugh at the display and stealthily stretched her arms over to the pair, peeling the spinel off her sibling. "You're barely a few hours old, ya little scamp. Come here, you." She brought the squirming gemling over to her chest, cradling her tenderly, pressing her finger into the little spinel's nose, eliciting a squeak from her. "You're a feisty little thing, just like me, aren't you?" The gemling squirmed and cooed up at her, reaching to up to try and grab at her mother's nose. spinel giggled at this, lightly playing with her daughter's pigtail. "You remind me of old me..."

you gently rubbed at your son's head with a thumb, slowly calming the slightly agitated gemling down, as his squirming slowed and his fussing slowly turned into content little purrs. "There.. all better?" He merely yawned, not understanding what you had said and curled up an your large hands, all too ready to try and get back to sleep. "Heh.. you take after me." You giggled at the tiny chirp he gave, like he was confirming your statement. "Just a bit..." you murmur playfully, giving him a gentle kiss on the head. that was when it hit you. "Oh, your names!"

spinel looked up from her daughter. "Hm?" you press a finger into your son's gem, looking thoughtful. "What will their names be..?" Spinel's eyes flashed, as the realization also hit her. "Oh yeah." Her gaze falls to her gemlings, 2 of which were sleeping peacefully against her chest, while one still fumbling clumsily for her mother's face and the other was sleeping in your hands. Her eyes squinted in thought. "Hhmm... how bout-"

A soft voice then sounded from the half-open door.

"are you expecting visitors?"
