i want to apologize
for the other day,

elena ordered two blueberry muffins and a hot chocolate as she waited for zach. her leg anxiously bounced, and she hoped that he would show up soon.

luckily, within a few minutes, the doorbell of the store rang, and elena's head perked up. she saw zach looking around the café to find her. he spotted elena, and took a seat in front of her.

"thank you for coming," elena acknowledged.

zach shrugged, "i didn't have much of a choice."

elena awkwardly stared at him as he began to take the paper off his blueberry muffin.

clearing her throat, elena declared, "i have something to say,"

"okay, what is it?" zach asked.

she took a deep breath, "i shouldn't have bothered you about why you were crying. it was a personal situation, and i totally stepped out of my boundaries. it wasn't a nice thing to do, and i'm sorry i was super nosy. it's just that i wanted to check up on you because you're my friend."

"w-we're friends?" zach stuttered.

elena laughed, "duh."

she had thought zach was joking when he asked that, but he truly was genuine.

zach slightly smiled, "i forgive you."

"yay!" elena cheered.
