15. Heat Like None Before

I lay (Y/N) head on my lap as I brushed her hair out of her eyes, she looked so sick.

I made her drink the last few drops of water we had, and she quickly fell asleep.

Thomas and I were the only ones left awake.

But soon I fell asleep with (Y/N) with her head still on my lap.

I was woken rather rudely a few hours later by Thomas-

"Hey! Hey Newt look! Lights!"

He pointed in the distance, it didnt look too far,

I could just see some lights!

I quickly shook (Y/N) awake and she gently sat up,

"Look love! We can get you some help!"

I hugged her to my chest as she sighed tierdly...

"Oh thank the shucking gods..."

She smiled,

But then- I heard the crack of thunder behind us.

Thomas stared wide eyed at the approaching storm!

"Oh shit! Minho! Fry-"

He started to wake everyone else up,

I helped (Y/N) to her feet and grabbed my back pack,

I turned to wait for the others, (Y/N) leaning heavily on me.

"Go Newt! We'll catch up!"

Minho waved me off, giving a pointed look at (Y/N) who glared weakly back.

I nodded and quickly jogged towards the buildings with (Y/N),

But the thunder and lightening was soon upon us and the others were just behind.

"NEWT-"

(Y/N) shoved us out the way of some loose fabric and wood flying our way,

I scrambled to my feet and scooped (Y/N) up into my arms to be able to move faster,

My ankle ached with every step I took, and (Y/N) noticed,

"NEWT! PUT ME DOWN!"

She screamed over the thunder.

I didnt answer her and continued to run-

Teresa, Fry and Aris were right behind us as we felt a bolt of lightening strike behind us.

We all fell to the ground and I dropped (Y/N) who growled and stood on shaky legs leaning against a crate.

"MINHO!"

Thomas yelled and rushed over to the dark haired boy unconscious on the ground-

Fry and I ran over and helped Thomas pick Minho up,

Aris had his arm around (Y/N) as he and the two girls burst in through the opening into the building with lights above it.

We dropped Minho on the floor, and Thomas, Teresa and I leaned over him-

"Come on! Come on Minho!"

I whispered as Thomas shook him, Minhos eyes fluttered open.

"What- happened?"

He asked, burn marks all over his clothes and face.

We all sighed in relief and I said,

"You got struck by lightening."

He looked between the three of us before looking up at the ceiling with a simple

"Oh-"

We all chuckled and helped him to his feet.

Aris had let go of (Y/N) who was now on her feet, she still looked pale and sick but atleast she was standing even if she was shaking.

I stood beside her and placed me hand on her lower back,

"...where are we?"

Thomas asked as he flipped his flash light on.

Everyone quickly turned their flashlights on to and I slowly looked around before something jumped out at us-

"ARRRRGGGG!"

A crank!

I pulled (Y/N) closer to me as we all huddled close-

"OH MY GOD!"

"WHAT THE SHUCK!?"

"HOLY SHI-"

The cranks reached for us but were on weird leashes-

We all continued to scream but then a light was turned on and a girl screamed-

"SHUT IT!"

Needless to say the cranks didnt quieten down and the girl just rolled her eyes, beckoning us to follow.

"Come on, just walk through, they cant reach you."

And with that she disappeared in the doorway again,

Leaving us alone with our flashlights, cranks and the single little lamp light she left on.
