24. Inside Out

"WHERE IS SHE? WHERE IS BRENDA!"

Fry and I quickly jumped our the van, all the other soldiers around us raised their guns and aimed at Jorge and the rest of us!

I noticed Thomas and (Y/N) standing beside each other as Brenda ran for Jorge, trying to calm him down!

I sighed in relief at seeing (Y/N), she looked up meeting my eyes and she softened giving me a small smile.

Brenda managed to calm down Jorge and pull him away from the soldier who scrambled to his feet to join his comrades.

Thomas lowered his arms and looked at (Y/N) who did the same, then to the masked people.

"Who are you? What do you want with us..?"

He looked around, it seemed like no one was gonna answer then finally someone stepped forward,

The person pulled off their mask and for a moment it felt like time had stopped

Galley's eyes looked over all of us,

"Hey greenie."

Thomas's shocked expression turned into one of hatred and he rushed at Galley,

(Y/N) attempted to grab his arm to stop him but be was already swinging punches at Galley,

Thomas landed a blow to Galleys jaw and knocked him to the ground climbing over him to land more blows to his face,

"YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED CHUCK!"

I rushed forward with (Y/N) just infront of me.

I pulled Thomas off of Galley and (Y/N) helped him back to his feet.

He took his arm away from her and she stood back to came stand beside me,

Galley adjusted his jaw,

"Fry, Newt? Anyone else?"

I starred with wide eyes and my brow furrowed,

"What...how are... we watched you die!"

I asked confused,

"No you left me to die. Then these guys found me... they brought me back, patched me up..."

He looked through all of us,

"The real question here is what are you all doing here?"

(Y/N) took my hand and we all looked nervously at each other

"...Its Minho, WICKED has him."

Thomas told Galley, we all looked at him a little shocked but Galley just nodded,

"Follow me."

We all looked once again nervously at each other then I felt (Y/N) give my hand a squeeze and we all shuffled after Galley.

Thomas and Frypan were right behind Galley,

The two quickly explained to Galley everything that happened after we had escaped the maze,

He lead us down and down and down, flight of stairs after flight of stairs,

Finally we reached a metal stair case,

"Alright, I'll talk to the boss- just... let me do the talking."

We all nodded and followed Galley into a dimly lit area,

There was a rose garden with someone humming inside of it,

"Rose took my nose I suppose..."

We all reached the bottom of the stairs and i pulled (Y/N) a little closer to me, I could see a machine with a drip attached to the man.

"Boss, we've got visitors."

Galley called to the man, he stopped humming and turned, he walked into the light,

I tightened my grip on (Y/N) hand as Thomas stepped forward,

"And what pray tell do our visitors need?"

He asked, the man was a crank his nose missing and his skin blotchy and burnt.

We all shifted a little uncomfortable and Galley stepped forward unfazed.

"They need a way inside the walls, to WICKED."

The guy chuckled, turning to Thomas after his eyes skimmed over all of us,

"And what do our friends here have to offer me? I am a business man, I expect something in return."

Thomas's eyes flitted to the machine drip,

"I can get you more of what you need."

The man again chuckled and stepped closer to Thomas,

"And what would that be?"

Thomas nodded his head at the machine,

"Time."

The man grinned,

"Alright, Galley we can help them out."

We all sighed in relief turning away but then he stopped us with a chuckle,

"But only 2 may go for now, just as a back up, ti make sure you come back."

He smiled showing his broken teeth,

We all nodded grimly and I still held (Y/N) hand tightly.

Galley lead us to a trap door and lifted it up, lowering down a metal ladder.

"Alright Newt you're coming with me."

Thomas told me, I nodded sitting down to lace up my shoes again.

(Y/N) came over after talking to Thomas,

She crouched down infront of me, taking both my hands in hers, I cringed at the pain climbing up my arm but I dont think she noticed.

Good.

She gave me a soft smile,

"You come back soon ok?"

I gave her a kiss on her forehead and leaned mine against hers,

"I'll always come back for you love."

She chuckled,

"Yeah yeah ok,"

She gave me a gentle kiss and we pulled apart,

"See you soon?"

She asked standing up with me,

I hugged her close, burning my head in her neck and sighing,

"Yeah I'll see you soon."

We pulled apart and I gave her a smile as I climbed down, Thomas coming down after me, his closed the hatch above us and the tunnel went dark.

A/N: sorry it's been a while, this year at school has been busy!! :P
