"You've grown." (Y/n) said moving a piece of his hair out of his face. "I'm not used to you towering over me."
"I was never that small." Keith huffed with a slight pout.
"And buffer." (Y/n) continued poking his arm making Keith sigh. "Did you start working out or something?"
"I've always worked out." Keith responded making (y/n) laugh. "You haven't really changed."
"Oh come on, yes I have." (Y/n) frowned making Keith smirk. "It's rude to say that a girl hasn't changed in 3 years."
"I guess it's because you're just so constant." Keith smiled making (y/n) melt slightly. "Come on."
The two headed up through the park as the street lights gently flickered on.
"I'm glad you came." (Y/n) said quietly as they reached the top of the hill.
"Yeah?" Keith asked raising a curious eyebrow at her as he stood in front of her.
"Yeah, even though you've been quiet all evening." (Y/n) smiled looking out across the park.
Keith huffed looking away with an unreadable expression. "Why did you park the other side of town?"
"Cause I can." (Y/n) responded with a wide smirk.
"You're so stubborn." Keith laughed.
"And you're not? Why did you park the other side of town?" (Y/n) deflected making Keith frown at her.
"Because there was no where else to park." Keith stated shoving his hands in his pockets. "Besides Alluras car took up half of the carpark."
"I know." (Y/n) laughed shaking her head. "I still can't believe that her car is so big."
"Cars just seem to be getting bigger constantly though, am I right?" Keith asked smiling like an idiot.
"Agreed." (Y/n) nodded shivering slightly.
"Are you cold?"
"Yeah, I left my jacket in my car, I didn't really think about it." (Y/n) shrugged but she soon froze when Keith pulled his jacket off placing it on her shoulders. "This literally swamps me."
"It's not that big on you." Keith said dejectedly.
"Look..." (Y/n) said pulling his jacket on and flapping the sleeves in his face. "Swamped."
Keith just smirked at her a look that made a warm feeling spread across her chest and cheeks.
"I have missed you." Keith smiled gently at (y/n).
(Y/n) smiled slightly at him but it soon dropped as she looked away.
"Keith what are we doing?" She asked quietly meeting Keith's gaze again.
"I have no idea." Keith admitted with a sigh.
"Are we stalling the inevitable conversation or..."
"Why are those kind of conversations so difficult?" Keith asked his smile faltering again.
"Why do we have to make it difficult?" (Y/n) asked as their gazes met again. "I miss you."
"Then maybe there's a way to fix this then." Keith smiled as their hands intertwined. "Cause I miss you too."
"You said already." (Y/n) smiled.
"I know, but I thought I needed to re-establish that fact." Keith said softly.
"Where did you go?" (Y/n) asked making Keith chuckle.
"I never really went far." Keith said moving a piece of hair out of her face. "I just... I couldn't bring myself to leave you."
"You kinda did." (Y/n) pointed out making Keith sigh.
"I know I did." Keith said quietly a frown adorning his features. "But I guess I was scared."
"Scared of what?" (Y/n) asked cupping his face making their gazes meet again.
"You leaving." Keith mumbled uncomfortably looking away. "People tend to leave me after a while."
"Keith..."
"And I guess I just assumed that you would, but even after me giving you a chance to leave if you wanted to... You stayed."
"Keith I..."
"Even after me ignoring you and pushing you away you stayed why?"
"Because I love you!" (Y/n) snapped shoving past him walking off towards her car.
"(Y/n)."
"No Keith were not doing this." (Y/n) said turning back to him. "Just because you think people will abandon you doesn't mean I will."
"Wait..."
"No Keith, just stop." (Y/n) said quieter this time. "You're scared I get that. But... I'm not going anywhere."
Keith stared at her a strange look taking over his features before he groaned.
"Why are you so good with words?" Keith smiled eventually.
"Hey, I'm not good with word, I just say what I feel." (Y/n) shrugged. "But I ment what I said."
"You love me?" Keith asked hopefully.
"I was talking more about the fact that I won't leave you." (Y/n) said watching as Keith's expression dropped slightly. "But yes I do love you."
A smile slowly grew across Keith's features as he pulled her close.
"Keith what are you..." (Y/n) gasped as Keith pressed his lips against hers.
It didn't take her long to wrap her arms around his neck pulling him closer.
Keith smirked into the kiss his grip on her waist tightening slightly.
Eventually the two parted looking at eachother unmoving dispute the cool wind that had suddenly picked up.
"I missed that." Keith said breathlessly as he smiled at (y/n).
"Totally." She responded fiddling with the ends of his hair. "So where do we go from here?"
"Well..." Keith smirked as he moved picking her up bridal style making her squeal out of surprise.
"Keith!" She said a smile growing. "What are you doing?"
"Carrying you." Keith smirked kissing the side of her head.
"But why?" (Y/n) asked not attempting to get out of his hold.
"Maybe because I can." He smiled making her sigh rolling her eyes.
"Stop showing off." She smirked gently hitting the back of his head making him laugh.
"So tomorrow? You free?" Keith asked curiously.
"Yeah." (Y/n) nodded watching Keith's shoulders relax slightly. "Why?"
"I wanna meet up, it's not too exciting."
"I don't know, you seem excited."
"True." Keith grinned. "So tomorrow, I'll pick you up."
"Alright, but only if you let me buy you coffee."
"Deal."
