It is the weekend, and I'm sitting on my couch contemplating whether to text Connie; I tried texting Isabella about it, but for some reason, she got mad at me and told me to do whatever I wanted. I don't have any classes with Connie, but after I saw her, my heart started racing, but I still have feelings for Isabella. I had to think this through, but I figured that Isabella doesn't like me, but she's mad at me, so I can't ask for help, I can't believe it, but I'm going to ask my guy friends. A few minutes had passed by, and I called Levi; he said he'd come over in twenty minutes, so I sat down and waited. Levi showed up at my door, and I let him in, and I filled him in on everything.
"So... Nate, you're telling me you're falling in love with Connie?"
"I think so; I don't know she's very pretty and nice," I said.
"So, after all this time, you want to move on from Isabella?"
"I don't know. I talked to Connie the rest of the week after I had seen her," I said while touching my head in frustration.
"Nate calm down; let's go for a walk? We can talk this out while you get some fresh air." Levi said while walking to the door and opening it.
"Okay, sure," I said while grabbing my keys.
I got my keys and walked over to the door; I locked it, then I closed it. We both decided to walk to the park, but it was Sunday. Tomorrow is Monday, and today I decide what I want to do and who to choose. We started walking through the streets, still talking about the situation; I felt stupid because I had to think about this. I've liked Isabella ever since I was small, but here I am, falling for another girl but is this the way that happens? Is it easy to move on quickly, or am I just doing this because I'm lonely? My head started to hurt after thinking so much; it felt like my head was going to explode. We kept walking for a good 10 minutes but still only five more minutes to go; I thought I shouldn't ask Levi for advice mainly because he's never had a girlfriend, but he knows so much about women. Levi is my best friend, but he lives a hard life; he has adopted around he was five months old by a gay couple. His moms are really friendly and kind, and I figured I should ask them, but it was too late, so we walked to the park. Five minutes later and we made it; we saw a bench, then sat down and started to talk.
"So Nate tells me about Connie; what do you like about her?" Nate said while crossing his arms
"Well, she's really sweet; we both like the same music as Surf Curse, The Buttertones, The strokes. She's really nice. She takes care of her grandma while her mom can work, her personality is beautiful, and she's so fun to be around."
"So you learned all of this after talking to her for a couple of days? You just met her, and all this information you've already learned? Nate, you may be taking this too quick."
"How? I've been liking Isabella since we were little kids; she's practically everything to me, but she doesn't like me, so maybe at this point, I should move on. Is this how my life is going to be? Chasing one girl? I don't think so."
"Nate, I know you; you've been having your head lost in your imagination with her for the longest. Are you really going to give that up now? You have always talked about Isabella ever since you were a kid. I got annoyed with you when you would always talk about her."
I laugh and look at Nate in the eyes.
"Connie is a good girl; I know it could work out... I have feelings for her, and I'm going to try to win her over. The feelings for Isabella will always be in my heart, but if I'm just walking down an endless pass, then I'm not going to walk anymore." I said putting my heads down on the table
