Sonic PoV :

I called the restaurant for the reservation. We could come around 18h-19h.

I went upstairs to tell it to Shadow.
"-Sweetheart, can I come in?
-....
-Shadow?
-...."
I panicked. I burst inside the bathroom.

I quickly stopped making noises when I saw Shadow asleep in the bathtub.

I takes him out of the bath, dried him and put him some clothes on. I laid him on the bed and went take a shower.

After some minutes, I went back in the bedroom with only a towel around my hips.
"-Sonic!"

Shadow had his face completely red and was looking away.
"-what's wrong?!
-it's just.... That you are... Well..."
I laughed a little.
"-no need to be embarrassed Sweetheart! If you want to, I can go change in the bathroom!
-no no, it's okay... You just... Surprised me a little..."

I went to him and kissed him. I told him about the reservation. He was stressed, after all it's our first date as lover I couldn't blame him.

We staid all the afternoon together. Just kissing each other and talking about things and other... But there was a subject who was pinching my heart that I wanted to talk about....

"-hey Shad.... I know you don't like when I'm talking about this but.... What if your rapist... Was me?"

I heard a glass shattering which was the glass that was holding Shadow.

"-why would you say that!!?? You're not him!! We promised to never hurt each other again!! I know you you would never do this to anyone!! "

He began to cry. I took him in my arms and rubbed his back.

"-I'm sorry Shadow... I shouldn't have to talk about this...
-*whisper*you promised.....
-I know Sweetheart... "
That an old promise we made... It was while before he realized that he love me...

Flashback, 2 years ago:

It was the end. We did it! Infinite is gone! We won!
I was cheering with Tails, Gadget and everyone!
Then, I saw Shadow leaving...

I quickly ran after him.
"-Shad! Come cheer with us!"
He doesn't say anything, I saw the sadness in his eyes.
"-What's wrong Shadz?
-it's nothing... Just those Phantoms...
-hey, I know that it's destabilizing you when you are in front of.... A fake you...
-it's not that...."

He looked away but I saw some tears running down his cheeks.
"-tell me Shadow.... You were scared...?
-..... Yes!"
He hugged me, still crying. I was shocked, it's not everyday that I could see him like that...
"-I was scared! Scared that no one would recognized me with those Phantoms!! That you won't recognized me!! That all of you hurt me like I hurt Infinite or you!! "

I rubbed his back to calm him down...
"-I will never hurt you.... I promise you...."

After that, he just stayed like we were, still hugging.

End of the flashback :

Now, we are back in the same position that we had when he started to show me his real emotions.

The only difference is that we are now lovers...
