Kaito must've noticed the two of you exchanging glances, so he called out, "My sidekick should know! Right Shuichi?"
Once again Shuichi snapped to attention, "Right, Himiko's blood loss was most certainly caused by the numerous cuts and stab wounds located all around the front of her body."
You could hear Tenko sniffle, and a pang of sadness went through your heart.
"Along with numerous burn...looking marks located on her fingers." You added, "I'm not sure what they were caused by though..."
"Did they happen during her magic show?" Tsumugi asked.
"There was no fire in her magic show." Ryoma commented.
"Electrical burn marks maybe?" Keebo asked.
"Those are real?" Kaito asked.
Kirumi spoke up, "Yes. A client of mine suffered from them before. They had burn marks all over the face from when they were struck by lightening."
"Nyahaha! So cool!" Angie cheered.
"Was there any other evidence of something burning?" Korekiyo asked.
"That's it!" Shuichi called out. "Korekiyo's right, there was another scorch mark underneath her bed, it was about the size of my palm though. I don't know if they...how they could cause the marks on her fingers though..."
"If we can't figure it out now, there's not point in wasting time on it... Let's talk about the state of her room next." Rantaro lead.
"Oh! It was a big mess! Atua told me that when I saw it." Angie cried out.
"I'm sure you didn't need anyone to tell you that." Tsumugi said, "It was plainly obvious."
"Well, she's correct though. There was blood from her bed to the wall across the door. Her body was found closer to the door, as if she was reaching for it." Ryoma pointed out.
"Hmm... so the blood is in the path of an isosceles triangle." Rantaro stated.
"Iso-what?" Kaito asked.
"You know... a two sided triangle?" Rantaro made a triangle in the air as he talks"The trail of blood goes from her bed..." he puts his finger up,"...To the wall across the door" he moves his finger diagonally to the right, "And finally to her body." The finger moves back left, forming an isosceles triangle in the air. "Isn't it curious how there was no blood anywhere in between the door and the bed?"
"So The culprit must've stabbed Himiko in her sleep!" Miu answered.
You nodded, "Or at least while she was on the bed, it makes more sense if she was awake and the murder tool missed on the first stab, so Himiko tried to scramble away... but the culprit kept... cornering her..."
"So that must mean the culprit was already in the room when Himiko was on the bed." Korekiyo stated.
"Then it must be Tenko! She was the last one to leave!" Miu shouted, "Wow you back-stabbing bitch!"
"Miu! Shut up!" You said, but instead of hearing agreements, you looked around and noticed that everyone was staring at Tenko. No... not staring glaring.
"I say we vote now." Korekiyo answered. "There's no one else it could be."
"No I believe more evidence is required." Keebo answered.
"Let's just vote already! We all know the culprit is Tenko!" Kokichi grinned, he had been oddly silent the whole trial, but now he seemed to be lively again.
"No... I think we shouldn't yet." You answered,
Shuichi, Kaito and Rantaro voiced their agreement.
"I don't know... Tenko does seem awfully suspicious."
"Right? Atua is telling me Tenko is the culprit!"
"I will side with the majority." Kirumi answered
"Maybe we should vote..." Ryoma muttered.
"How are we supposed to decide? We're split down middle..." Gonta asked worriedly.
"SPLIT? Did you just say split?" Monokuma cheered, "You did! I heard it through my bellybutton microphone!"
"Wait... your ears don't do anything?!" Miu asked.
"The Ultimate Academy is proud to present its very own morphenomenal trial grounds!"
"The trial grounds are gonna morph? I totally wanna see that!" Kokichi shouted.
The platforms started rising from up underneath you. You let out a cry of surprise and grabbed onto the hand rail of the podium. All of the podiums rose until Kokichi, Angie, Korekiyo, Ryoma and Miu were all facing you, Rantaro, Kaito, Gonta, Kirumi, and Shuichi
Well... as of this couldn't get worse. You thought, gripping the handrails. Heights were scary. You shook your head to ignore your fear. You had to focus. You had to figure out how you were going to prove Tenko innocent. This might be a game... but I will determine the correct culprit! I will fight for Himiko!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey guys! I had to split (GET IT? CAUSE I LEFT IT OFF RIGHT BEFORE THE SPLIT OPINION? HAHA! Ok I'll stop now...) the trial in two. I'm not gonna lie, I had hella writers block for how to start the trial.
My rough draft of it was really bland and didn't have any of the "Danganronpa" elements in it so I restarted around... 3 times? This was my favorite version though.
I also apologize for the wait... exams and homework are taking a toll on me. My spring break is coming up though, so expect a lot of updates then!
Anyway, until till the next chapter and WISH ME LUCK ON MY MATH EXAM THAT'S TOMORROW ;-;
