You were surrounded by darkness. After getting through the whole second trial without dying once. You died before the third trial could even begin."I'm back..." You weakly said outloud. You closed your eyes again briefly to think about what had happened. You got flashbacks of being tied up, and of Gonta choking you.
"That bitch!" You shouted remembering the past events. "I am going to kill Angie."
Your hand was clenched into a fist, you wanted to punch her. Now you were never the most violent of people before. But this anger was different.
"So what? I objected her cult? That's no excuse to fucking murder me!" You shouted again.
You let out a sigh, trying to dispel your anger. "Okay, so what do I need to do this time?"
Probably not piss Angie off, or I do so anyway and I just make sure I stay with someone at all times... but that's... difficult.
I could join her cult? Fake join like Ryoma tried too. Ugh, but I don't even want to think about me having to praise some fake god.
(If you seriously believe in Atua please take no offense in this ~ Author)
Okay, we're just going to lay low.
"Hopefully, that solves most things." You said outloud with a sigh. "Alright! I wish to retry!"
And soon enough you felt your body warping again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up to see the same ceiling of Maki's dorm room.
"I guess I'm back to right after the second trial?" you spoke outloud. You got up and got ready for the day. It was pretty early, but nothing like getting a headstart on your plan.
Due to you being early, you and Kirumi were the only ones in the Dining hall. Well, technically only you were, because Kirumi was in the Kitchen making breakfast.
Ryoma entered, dipping his head to you. Now that you retried, you never had that conversation. You let out a sigh, there was a certain kind of loneliness in being the only one to remember everything.
Then Angie entered, red filled your vision but you just shut your eyes in attempts to block it out. You couldn't reveal your anger towards her... not if you wanted to live. Although Gonta and Tsumugi entering in right after made it really hard to conceal it.
You weren't mad at Gonta, it's just you got flashbacks to what Angie and Tsumugi did. They basically used Gonta as a scrapegoat! How dare they.
Wait... Kokichi... did the same thing. Although, I guess the reasons are different. As if hearing your thoughts Kokichi walked in, you were going to walk over to him, until he sat next to Gonta. Right. He's being Jealous.
Soon enough, Tenko walked in... and the reactions were repeated. Everyone was surprised, but from there onwards, things were a bit repitive for you. You went with Tenko. Rantaro and Kirumi to go explore the Dojo again.
You even had to relive the horrible flashback light experience again, which although you already had the memory, still showed you flashbacks of you being at the funeral. Everyone was in an uproar about seeing a funeral, except you. You were just bored. You watched as Kokichi left. Once again everyone was in the dining hall talking about random subjects, you listened in as Angie was advocating for Atua again.
"She's gonna start a cult sooner or later." Rantaro came up behind you, again.
"Probably." You weren't in the mood to joke around. Honestly, Angie's... murder left a scar on your heart. For awhile you believed that the only truly bad character in this game was Tsumugi, being the mastermind and all... so you never really put your guard up against your other classmates. I mean sure, you hated Angie's Atua schtick but you never thought she would kill you.
"You good?" Rantaro asked, "Seems like things are off between you and Kokichi as well."
You just shrugged, "I'm just tired, and who knows what's with him."
"Why don't you go talk to him."
Why should I? He's the one distancing himself... I'll talk to him later. You inwardly thought, "Maybe later, I'm a bit tired right now, I'm going to sleep." You bid Rantaro a farewell, and left to your dorm.
A part of you did feel more tired than usual, perhaps it was aftereffects of 'retrying'. Plus you haven't slept since the night before you died, and even on that night you barely slept. No one would question you for being tired anyway.
You passed by Kokichi's dorm, and for awhile brief flashbacks of you two playing Go Fish entered your mind. Not that he remember anything.
"Sigh.... I hate this. I feel lonely... I mean sure, I would've died otherwise but...." You trailed off, really sadly. You didn't even know why you suddenly felt this lonely. It was only a couple of games that Kokichi didn't remember, it shouldn't have been a big deal. But your heart, your emotions were saying the opposite. It really mattered to you. You open your dorm room to get some well needed sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And as luck would have it. You overslept. Actually you would've kept sleeping if it weren't for a ringing at your doorbell.
You opened it, not caring how you looked- you were in pajamas, but your hair was atrocious.
"Rantaro?" You questioned when opening the door, seeing as the green-haired man standing at your doorway.
"You missed both the announcements? How tired were you?" Rantaro asked, sounding genuinely concerened, "Also... bad hair day?"
"Yes, bad hair day. Really tired and what do you mean by both announcements?"
"The morning announcement and the one to go to the gym. You missed the new motive."
Your eyes opened wide, "What? Why didn't anyone wake me?"
"The Kubs told us not to... something about friendships only being able to grow when you aren't tired."
"Huh? Well I appreciate the sleep but what happened?" You asked. Apart of you was thankful that you could skip the entire assembly thing, but also shocked that they allowed you too.
Rantaro updated you on the Necronomicon situation, as well as mention the different events that happened throughout it. You nodded your head, while also sharing your disbeliefs about people being revived, and you shock about Angie taking it.
It was already around lunchtime, so Rantaro forced you to go eat lunch. After eating the meal Kirumi made for the two of you, you decided to just hang out with Rantaro for the rest of the day, your main plan was to just stick with someone at all times.
Yes, you were running away from the problem, but you didn't see any other option—other than killing Angie, but you knew that wouldn't end well.
Yeah, I do not want to have to suffer through and execution thank you very much.
"Wait. But I could find out my talent right? Since all of our executions are based on our talents..." You mused for a second, its not like you'd actually die anyway.
Yeah, but I don't want to be a murderer... even if Angie deserves it, it's still Tsumugi's fault, after all she's the mastermind, the one who is keeping us in this sort of situation anyway. Had we not been in a killing game, Angie wouldn't have done anything like that.
You let out a sigh, Angie was an issue, but most likely it wasn't all her fault. You felt your anger slowly melting away.
They're game characters.... I shouldn't be affected this much. Right?
