Estonia (Eduard von Bock) x Reader
Silence loomed over the dining table as the nations ensured nothing could anger the Russian during dinner time. Ivan preferred to eat his dinner in silence and the nations under his control easily agreed with the household rule. (Y/N) munched on her food and stole a few glances at Eduard. The Estonian nation looked up from his plate to catch her glance. He fought down the urge to send her a smile and instead turned his attention back to his plate. It was an unspoken rule in the house that no relationships were to be created without Ivan's permission. Ivan stood from the table and headed to his study to finish the work his boss assigned to him.
Conversations started the moment the nations were ensured of the lack of Russian presence. (Y/N) turned to Eduard with a hopeful smile "Do you think we could go to the music room again?" He sent her a soft smile "Yes. We just have to use the soundproof room, as to not disturb Mr. Russia." She nodded in understanding and returned to her food with newfound enthusiasm. Katyusha watched the pair from the opposite side of the table and smiled. 'How nice to be young and in love' she thought to herself, finishing the last bit of food on her plate.
Eduard and (Y/N) silently made their way to the music room. She held onto his hand tightly as pink dusted her cheeks. The simple contact between the young couple frazzled her as their interactions within the USSR were often limited due to Ivan's intimidating presence. Eduard felt similar to her but hid his nerves in a more efficient manner. He ran through the different technological devices he knew about in order to not focus on the warm hand in his. She glanced up at him shyly "Eduard?" He blinked and returned to reality "Yes?" She squeezed his hand with a soft smile "Thank you." He didn't understand but nodded in reply. They arrived at the music room and (Y/N) enthusiastically took her place in the spectator's chair.
Eduard settled himself on the piano bench and flipped through a few music sheets. He began his performance and (Y/N) listened to the sound of the piano and his beautiful voice. He held a talent for the musical arts. Soon the sounds of his voice and the piano mixed together. She frowned in confusion as her mind began to swim. Her stomach clenched in hunger. She bit her lip in pain and confusion. Her dinner had been merely twenty minutes ago. The sound slowly faded as the realization set in. Her people were dying.
Dizziness overwhelmed her and she tried her hardest to remain sitting up in her chair. Eduard looked over at her after he finished the song "(Y/N)?" His heart clenched in worry. He made his way over to her "Tell me what's wrong." The door flew open and Ivan made his way over to her in worry. Eduard tensed in fear of their relationship being caught, but Ivan merely brushed him aside. (Y/N) glared at the Russian "How dare you?" Ivan blinked in surprise "I didn't mean to." She wobbled to her feet "You're killing my people! How dare you deprive them of food? My people are starving to death on the street because of you." Ivan took a step back away from her "(Y/N) calm down. You aren't thinking rationally." Eduard took his place next to her and helped her stand "Lean on me. We're going to leave." She nodded in exhaustion.
She managed enough strength to curse at the Russian as they exited the room. They vaguely heard Ivan call out to them "If you leave me I'll kill you." (Y/N) leaned heavily against Eduard as her stomach clawed at itself "Eduard. Leave with me." He stopped and looked down at her with terrified blue eyes "Mr. Russia will kill us." She slowly moved away from him. She ignored the intense pain in her stomach "Eduard I can't stay here anymore. I didn't mind when it was only me who suffered, but I cannot allow my people to suffer." He remained silent. He understood why she wanted to leave, but his instincts told him to stay, to survive.
A knowing smile took place on her face. She made her way over to him and placed a soft kiss on his lips "I understand." He ignored the heat rushing to his cheeks "You do?" She nodded and wiped away the tears he wasn't aware of "You're terrified of Ivan. I am too." She fixed his glasses "But I have to do this. I'm leaving. Maybe one day when we're both free we'll see each other again." He nodded and gripped her hands "Good luck." (Y/N) placed one last kiss on his lips "We will see each other again. I promise Eduard."
Extra Notes
There are four different possibilities for this ending
1. She wins and she's free and then they see each other again at a world meeting when he's free
2. She loses and she comes under Russia's control again
3. She wins, but due to the war, her freshly independent country can't support itself, falls into chaos, and then she disappears/dies
4. She loses and dies because her country is ruined now
So its either super happy or it's super depressing based off your choice
Hope you enjoyed the chapter
The next chapter is Australia (a character I wasn't going to do, but I did anyway)
