Glitching, again? (Ben Drowned X Reader)

"You look good"
"You haven't aged a day!" He says in awe "We have so much to talk about" he smiles
"I can tell" you laugh

"We're all here" he gestures behind him "with a few additions of course"

You look behind him and see all your friends and surprisingly more. Bloody painter, clockwork, Jane, Jeff, Lj, Ej, Sally, Masky , hoodie, smile, Dr. Smiley, Toby and some you've never seen or heard of.

"It is good to see you, child" you hear behind you
"Slender!" You smile "Its so good to see you!"

After tender moments of reuniting and introductions you look at Slender.

"I thought you all died to the hunter"
"We escaped with wounds and almost lost Jeff"
"It was intense" jeff scratches the back of his head
"We relocated and well...years went by and people-"
"Years?!" You shout "its only been months here!"
"What?" Ben questions
"Maybe my time calculations are off" slender says "but yes the last time we saw you was three years ago"
"Three...years" your eyes widen 

you fall to your knees utterly shocked, its been that long? Ben helps you back on your feet and holds your hand.

"As I was saying we relocated and after a year people stopped believing in us" Slender continues
"So?"
"Our power is only as strong as people believe we are"
"But what about you?" You ask "You look the same "
"Zalgo and I are eternal we were the only ones not effected"
"So that explains why you're taller" you elbow Ben
"Ow" he chuckles

You can see in the distance the flickering of the town's lanterns.

"Shit..."
"What?" Vincent asks
"What's wrong?" Ben asks
"How am I gonna explain to gram that I have whole group of people coming home with us?!"

"You ask say this as if I don't already know" a voice answers

A small figure appeared from the shadows and revealed itself to be gram.

"H-hi grammie" you nervously chuckle

Within fractions of a second you feel a SMACK on your head.

"Ouch!" you rub your head
"Ow!" Vincent yells "why me?!"
"You encouraged the idea of going out!" Gram scolds him "but we shall discuss this inside" she leads them to the house

"Oh no" you see the lanterns go out and the people entering the streets.
"I'll meet you inside!" You quickly speak throwing your hood on
"Y/n wait!" Ben runs after you

You try to avoid the townspeople's sight, thankfully people are just now waking up but Ben grabs your arm.

"Tell me whats wrong!" He feels untrusted
"I have to get inside" you pull him with you "please" 

your hood falls off your head and you start to panic, Ben can see it in your eyes. He gives you a look of worry and lets go of you.

"Okay then lets go" he says
"Y/n are you seriously trying to fool this guy?" You heard a girl
"Shit" you cursed
"What did you just say?" Ben turns to her

"Ben just ignore them" you take his hand and try to lead him to the house

"Oh please don't act like you don't know" she laughs "shes the village slut"
"I know her damn well and shes far from that" he cracks his knuckles
"oh please she doesn't even have a mate, she just fucks around"

People notice and whisper

"oh shes got a mate alright, and you're looking right at him" he takes off his jacket and kisses your cheek "be right back"

"Ben" you mumble with a soft blush

Ben approaches the girl who now has a crowd behind her

"Y'know I've never seen you here before" she says "You don't smell like Misch"
"Thats because I'm not"

Within an instant Ben appears behind her and the girl is on the dirt.

"Next time I'll draw blood" he warns her 

And just like that a scrape forms on her face, the group of bullies start to panic and run in fear. Ben puts his jacket back on and holds out his hand. You take it and lean against him.

"Lets get you home babe"
