As the sun rose, casting its golden glow across the park at around 6 in the morning, Ten found himself immersed in the tranquil scene. The park was sparsely populated, with a few early risers engaged in jogging and morning exercises.
"I'm bored. I want to do something, but I don't know what to do," Ten whispered to himself, contemplating the possibilities.
His attention shifted to a group of older individuals engaged in a dancing session. Despite the challenges of age, their enjoyment was palpable, evident in the smiles that adorned their faces. The upbeat 80s music added to the lively atmosphere, and without realizing it, Ten found himself tapping along with the rhythm, savoring the simple joy of the moment.
His reverie was interrupted when a boy sat beside him, causing Ten's eyes to widen and his jaw to drop. To his astonishment, he recognized the boy as the one he had encountered the previous night—the mysterious figure in the black hoodie.
"You seem so shocked," the boy remarked before unveiling his face, removing the hoodie that had concealed his features.
"You can see me?" Ten asked, his shock still palpable.
"Ah, yes, obviously," the boy replied, his response casual and matter-of-fact.
"But why?" Ten inquired, unable to comprehend the sudden change in his visibility.
"Uh, because I have two eyes, and they're functioning well," the boy explained, his patience waning.
"Do you have a third eye?" Ten pressed on.
"Wait, what are you talking about?" the boy responded, confusion evident in his tone.
"Look, I can see you very clearly, okay? I don't have a third eye. I just have two eyes, and that's enough for me to see you clearly," he asserted, his tone gaining a hint of annoyance, perhaps from Ten's persistent questioning.
"Wait, calm down," Ten urged, sensing the rising tension in the conversation. Surveying the park, he noticed others observing the boy, clearly perplexed as they witnessed him seemingly speaking to no one.
"What?" the boy asked once more, his confusion apparent.
"Can you please follow me if you don't mind," Ten requested, feeling the urgency to discuss matters away from prying eyes.
"Okay, then what?" the boy inquired, complying with Ten's request.
"Just follow me. We need to talk, but not here," Ten explained, leading the way. He walked a distance away from the park, ensuring they were out of sight from any passersby before coming to a stop.
"Why do we need to talk where there are no people?" he questioned.
"Because if they see you talking to no one, they will find it weird," Ten explained.
"But I'm talking to you," he pointed out.
"Yes, because you can see me," Ten replied.
"And then?" he pressed.
"They can't see what you see," Ten added.
"Wait, I don't get it," he said, placing his hands on his waist.
"It's just simple. You can see me, but others can't," Ten clarified.
"Are you kidding me?" he asked, disbelief evident in his expression.
"No, I'm not. You're looking at a spirit right now," Ten explained.
"Haha, funny kid. You don't even look like a spirit right now. You just look like an ordinary teenager," he remarked, skepticism coloring his response.
