Kong took a week leave. He hasn't been filing any leave longer than 3 days since he started working Bangkok University Hospital (BUH). His father also asked him to go home so he can get the gifts they prepared for Arthit's grandmother.
"Mom these are beautiful." Kong is honestly impressed with how beautiful the jade jewellery sets are.
"I brought it the last time I went to Paris in preparation when Arthit finally tells you to fly to China." Shine smiled as she held the other jewellery box as she prepared one set for the two grandmothers.
"Thank you mom." Kong smiled at his mother. He can really see how much his mother adores Arthit and how much she is supportive of this marriage.
"Oh you're welcome baby. I got this from Paris but it is made by a famous Chinese designer, Master Chen." His mom started to talk about the jade jewellery and its intricate design as Kong listens attentively just in case he needs some information when he arrives in China.
"This is really amazing." Kong can't help but be amazed by the jewellery again, he hopes that Arthit's grandmothers will like it.
"So, are you ready to see the place where Arthit grew up?" Shine changed the subject as she took the box from Kong's hand to fix it inside the bag with the other jewellery box. She saw her son fidget which made her chuckle.
"Baby, just be yourself, they'll like you." She reached for her son's hand and held it.
"Speak to them formally and use your Mandarin skills to impress them." Shine even winked which finally made Kong laugh.
"You didn't take that elective subject and additional courses online for you not to use it the right way you know." Shine batted her brows which somehow made Kong's nerves to loosen up. At least that's true, he can speak their language so that's a plus.
It was actually Aim's idea for them to take up the language as elective in Harvard and since he didn't want to miss out, he also joined Aim and Tew in the class. He fell in love with it that he took special courses to improve himself more. It helped as he was able to make friends with Chinese students in Harvard and even converse well with Chinese doctors in BUH.
"I just really hope that it'll end well mom." Kong muttered since he can't stop thinking about those crazy drama plots about a man's family being extremely rich and wouldn't approve his relationship with his lover. He seriously should stop listening to the nurse's gossip when he's at the nurse's station.

The day of the flight came and Kong can't help but feel nervous.
"Hey calm down." Arthit noticed his expression the moment they entered the first class area of the plane.
"It will be fine, you have nothing to worry." He assured him. Arthit has seen Kong's heavy steps when they passed by the capsule to enter the plane and he knows that it is not because of the air travel.
"I'll just... sleep this off." Kong replied as he showed his standard smile. Arthit only smiled and nodded.
"And don't worry, I'll help translate for you or you can use English in talking to some of them. I'll tell you." Arthit's words made Kong opened his mouth to mention about his knowledge of the language but Arthit called for the FA's attention that Kong chose to remain quiet instead.
The moment the plane took off, Arthit fell asleep. Kong tried to close his eyes but he cannot sleep at all. He tried to focus his mind on something else but it still drifts to the fact that he's meeting Arthit's extended family in China.
Arthit met his grandparents during the wedding and they instantly liked Arthit for his manners and one can see how fine of a man he is. Kong hopes that it will be easy for him too. Arthit was introduced to his only aunt living in Thailand, Olive during one of the dinners his mom invited them in their family house. Just like how Arthit was able to get his grandparents, his aunt Olive got smitten by his husband too. His other relatives are not living in Thailand so there's really no one to introduce to him.
