Adoras POV
I was waiting for Y/N where she told me to meet up with her. I sighed, "Adora?" Someone said, I looked up, "Hey Glimmer." I waved.
"You look tired, where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm waiting for-" "Hey Adora!" Y/N greeted as she ran up to me. "Y/n." I said. "Oh... her..." Glimmer said as she crossed her arms due to the sight of Y/N.
"Wanna go now?" Y/N asked. "Yeah, bye Glimmer!" I waved.
"Bye..." she said quietly.
"Why did she act the way she acted when she saw you?" I asked Y/N as we walked. "Because a long time ago Josie decided to harm her little group. And since I hang out with Josie, I am apparently just like her." She replied as she took out something from her bag.
The air was cool, the breeze passed by us, and the trees moved the same direction.
"So.. if you know Josie so well, and don't do most of the stuff she does because you know it's bad, why do you still hang out with her?" I asked.
Y/N stopped walking, I stopped as well. "Because, even with all the crazy stuff she does, she still has a heart, and a personal life that is bad. Her home life is terrible." She said.
"What do you mean?" I asked completely clueless.
"She is basically a slave. She is loaded rich. But the way she got rich is because of her dad and what he does to get the money." She muttered looking away.
"And even if Josie is a bad person to others, she still has her reasons, and the worse thing of having a life like that is, imagine being completely alone, with no one to talk about it with." Y/n said.
"Oh..."
She looked at me, "Promise me you won't tell anyone. I shouldn't have said that." She regretted what she told me but she had a reason.
"I won't say a word. Promise." I said.
"Good." She said. We continued walking and we stopped at a two story house.
"Also, I only have a mom, my dad left so-" "It's fine, I don't even have parents." I replied.
"Wait, seriously? Who raised you?" She asked, "Um... it was a place that raised me, along with other people." I said, "A foster home?" She asked. I nodded, what the heck is a foster home?!? "So who do you live with?" She asked.
"Uh... no one..." I whispered. She got her keys and opened the door. "What do you mean no one?!? Do you live by yourself?!?" She asked.
I quietly nodded.
I mean that wasn't a lie, I basically live by myself in this universe. "HEY MOM! I BROUGHT A FRIEND!" She yelled.
A woman that looked like her walked in.
"Hi there! Oh my god you are so pretty! Sweetie, you made new friends!" Her mom said and hugged her tight.
She couldn't breathe. "Yes mom! And Can She live with us? She is homeless." She asked.
"But of course! I could use more company in the house." The woman said.
"Thanks mom! You are the best!" She said and dragged me to her room.
