"Oh my God!" she said in a dead voice. She was annoyed at untoward circumstances and did not know what to do.
The old woman was pushing sixties. She was compact, towering, and had a long, round face with regular features. The complexion was fair. a deep-creased crescent shaped scar, which went from her temple to her chin, was a prominent feature. The lips were protuberant, nose was flattened, eyes were almond-shaped. Dark hair were piled high on her head. With a tense face, she walked thoughtfully towards the trunk.
The trunk was considerable, coffin-shaped, ebony, and perfectly carved, made out of silver. It had a coarse texture as it was all accumulated with thick dust. When opened, it made a creaking sound. Sara did not understand the reason why it had a sweet smell like that of chocolates. "Jack had hated chocolates his whole life", she said, wrinkling her brows. Sara was curious to open it as it was kept like a treasure by her late husband, Mr. Jack. He had strictly ordered her not to open the trunk until he died.
"I've already seen a lot of his secrets in this trunk today. Let me see what else I can find here", said Sara to herself, curiously. The last picture with her late husband could not be found and this made Sara worried. "where's my real treasure?" questioned Sara anxiously, throwing away the contents of the trunk. She peered them intently, discovering a list of things. Finally, it became empty and the phot was nowhere to be found. "This was what reduced her to tears." She cried like a little baby. It was decided to hit the sheets, so she went back to her room.
Her mouth went agape! "$100,000 in cash!" she shouted at the top of her voice. "where did this come from?" she asked herself, confused. Than, her sharp eyes noticed a small letter attached to it. After reading it, she got to know that these were the savings of jack for her if in case he died. "May God bless Jack!" she said, placing the money at one corner of her dresser. The most surprising thing she saw next were imported, delicious chocolates like Mars, Snickers, Bounty. His whole life Jack had said that he disliked chocolates. "why?" she questioned herself? The next surprising thing was a photo with Hitler, then she remembered her own last photo with Jack, but failed to find it.
"To not be disappointed with what is going on is a solution." she said to herself.LIKE, COMMENT AND SHARE IF YOU ENJOYED!😇
