But then I heard his soft chuckle, and my eyes met his again. "You're sometimes cute," he said, looking back at me with a hint of a smile. My heart skipped a beat at the gentle warmth in his eyes.

"Ehh," I responded, my voice barely audible, wondering if I had imagined the softness in his tone. But then he continued, his elbows on the table, leaning in closer, his eyes locked onto mine. "You know, Meri and Kavya ki banti nhi hai, and also I don't like your dresses on her." He paused, his gaze dropping to his food, his voice filled with a hint of possessiveness. "Besides, she needs a size bigger." His eyes sparkled with mischief, and I felt a flutter in my chest. "And especially your favorite heels, you didn't have to give them to her." My eyes widened in shock, my mind racing with questions. How did he know they were mine? I had only worn them once, to a party, and he hadn't even been there.

"What?" he asked, his brows furrowed, his eyes searching mine. "You knew?!" I exclaimed back, my voice rising, my eyes squinting at him in disbelief.

"Yeah, the dress you've only worn twice - first six months ago at Karan's birthday and then at a bachelor party," he said, his eyes gazing up at the ceiling as he concentrated. "Hmm..." He looked back at me, his brows still furrowed in thought. "The heels... you've only worn them once, back in Delhi, at your friend's sister's wedding." I remained still, shocked that he remembered such details. I barely recalled them myself! How did he...? "I remember because of your snaps," he said, his eyes darting back to his food, avoiding eye contact.

I looked back at my plate, a smile spreading across my face. I felt happy, flustered, and shy all at once. This was too good; Rihan had a remarkable memory, and I didn't know my man was such a keen observer!

"I do have a great memory, duh," he said, leaning back in his chair with a smirk, his eyes gleaming with pride. I nodded, still smiling, and added, "Waise, Karan's birthday bash was a lot of fun." I chuckled, putting down my spoon on the plate, recalling the memorable night. "Yeah, they're coming back tomorrow; we'll go pick them up from the airport," he said, mirroring my actions with his spoon, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "They must have had a blast."

"Yeah, they went to Singapore, right?" I asked, my curiosity piqued, and he nodded, recalling the details. "Yeah, they did."

"They're probably going to be the first to get married in our circle," I said, chuckling, imagining the scenario. He giggled in agreement, "Yeah, think so," his eyes crinkling at the corners.

As we finished dinner, we worked together in harmony, he drying the dishes with a cloth while I washed them, our conversation flowing effortlessly as we reminisced about old times. Finally, we settled together on the couch, the warm glow of the evening surrounding us. He leaned in, his eyes hesitant, his expression unsure, as if seeking permission. "Want to watch a movie together?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, a slight tremble betraying his nerves. I smiled softly, my lips curving upward, "Su-" But before I could finish, my phone rang, piercing the intimate moment. I quickly grabbed it from the table in front of us, Veer's name flashing on the screen like an intrusion.

Veer Khurana, my reliable personal assistant and a younger brother-like figure, is an integral part of my life. He not only excels professionally but also lends a hand in our household's inner workings. Everyone in my circle, friends and family alike, knows and appreciates Veer's exceptional abilities and trustworthiness. I have so much faith in him that I can confidently leave my work in his capable hands when needed. And, as a bonus, he's quite handsome too!

"Please don't tell me Abhi usse kuch Kam hai," Rihan said, leaning in, his expression playfully exaggerated. I quickly answered the call, as I had already asked Veer to send over some documents. I had to pick up.
