(Y/N's POV)
It's been 2 weeks since the Loser's club broke up and I haven't done anything except walk around town by myself or with Bev while Richie is at the arcade. As you can see, me and Bev forgave each other and still hangout. As for the others, I would see some of them while walking around town, like Bill biking around the streets, Mike delivering meat, and Ben at the library, but we wouldn't do anything except glance at each other. I didn't mention Eddie because I haven't seen him at all, yet.
As for Stan, me and Richie still hangout with him, but not as much since Stan has to study for his Bar Mitzvah, which is actually today. That brings us to now.
I go into my bathroom and change into my pink dress. I brush my hair putting it in (whatever hairstyle you want). I exit the bathroom and head downstairs to see Richie and my parents waiting for me.
"Alright let's go." My mom says as she picks up the keys and walks out the door with dad. I roll my eyes at them as me and Richie walk out the door together. Me and Richie sit silently in the back of the car as we drive to the church.
"At the Bar Mitzvah make sure you two behave and be polite, alright? I don't need you guys messing around and getting us kicked out." My mom tells us. I roll my eyes.
"Alright." Me and Richie answer in unison. We make it to the church and walk in, taking a seat. We watch as people file in filling the seats. After a few minutes the Bar Mitzvah finally starts and Stan walks up to the microphone.
Stan stands there nervously as he looks at the crowd. He locks eyes with me and I give him a reassuring smile. He smiles back at me and begins his reading. As he finishes his reading, I smile realizing he didn't mispronounce any word.
"Reflecting on the meaning of what I just read," Stan began. He gulps nervously as he looks at the crowd and locks eyes with me again. I give him two thumbs up and mouth 'you got this.' He smiles softly, before continuing, "The word 'shana' comes up a lot. Which means, um, to change, to transform. Which makes sense I guess, because today I'm supposed to become a man."
"It's funny though, everyone I think has some memories they're proud of than others, right? And maybe that's why change is so scary." Stan starts. because the things we wish we could leave behind...the whispers we wish we could silence...the nightmares we most want to wake up from...the memories we wish we could change...secrets we feel like we have to keep, are the hardest to walk away from," Stan continues. He glances at me and Richie before looking away.
"Good stuff the pictures in our mind that fade away the fastest, those pieces of you it feels the easiest to lose maybe I don't want to forget, maybe I-if that's what today is all about forget it, right?" Stan says as he looks down. I sit there silently along with the crowd as I repeat Stan's words in my head.
"Thank you, Stanley." Mr. Uris says as he goes to grab the microphone from Stan, but Stan quickly moved away.
"Uh-uh-uh, today I'm supposed to become a man, but I don't, I don't feel any different." Stan continues as he walks away from his father, but is suddenly stopped because of the wire. He turns and looks at his father.
"I know I'm a loser," Stan announced, "and no matter what, I always fucking will be."
A loud gasp fills the room as Stan drops the microphone and leaves the room. I stare at him in shock before I stand up, along with Richie, and start clapping.
Mom and dad were quick to pull us down, though. Me and Richie look at each other before running out of the church after Stan. Me and Richie come to a stop as we see Stan standing in front of the church.
