People say change is good. Change can mean many things. I've been through changes all my life, though I like to see everyday as a day to make changes. Even if they're small changes.

My life isn't perfect. I never expected it to be. A little chaos is good especially in relationships. Things will happen in life to test you. To test your strength.

"Mama, where's daddy?" Gavin snaps me out of my thoughts.

Looking over at him I see the light in his eyes. He reminded me of all the good parts of Jax.

It's been a month.

A lot can change in a month.

"He'll be home soon, bubba." I walk over to him. "Here," I hand him his iPad. "Go play while I make dinner."

He runs off, his footsteps echoing throughout the house. My mind had been racing all day. I've been holding my breath for two days, barely holding my head above water.

I never saw myself here again, especially now. Things are better, but it doesn't mean we were ready for what was to come.

Moving over to the sink, I wash my hands and get ready to make dinner. Tonight I assured myself I'd try again. I'd finally look my husband in the eye and tell him the truth. I couldn't handle this alone..not again.

- -

I was in the middle of setting the table with Gavin across helping me when the front door opened. Gavin's eyes shot opened and he stopped what he was doing, running out of the dining room.

Gavin's and Jax's muffled voices were heard from the hallway, their laughs in sync and bouncing off every wall.

"Hey, princess." He comes my way, his arms stretched out. Bringing me in, I sigh in relief as I'm welcomed by the warmth of his presence.

My husband was finally coming back to me.

Jax was closer than ever to coming back to me.

"Dinner's ready?" He kisses my cheek.

"Yes." I nod. "You wanna shower first?"

He shakes his head. "No, I wanna be with my family first." Kissing my forehead, he pulls away and goes to grab Gavin. Lifting him up, they walk to the kitchen while I'm left standing in the dinning room, a smile planted on my lips.

Ever since Hunter helped Jax out with a new job things seemed to finally be back to how they were. There was still work to be done but we were both trying.

When we were sitting and Jax and Gavin were engaged in their own conversation, my mind kept stalling. I didn't know how to just blurt the news out.

Would he be happy? Worried? Stressed?

How would this effect Gavin?

What if this only took him a step back and things would get worse? I didn't want anything to effect him or the progress that he's made.

Before I even knew what was happening, the words left my mouth, flying across the table and slapping Jax right in the face.

His lips went shut and he took his attention off of Gavin, staring at me with a shocked expression.

"What?" He says.

"I-Uhm, did you hear?" I manage to get out.

His head moves up and down, a smile slowly appearing on his face. "Say it again."

My eyes meet his, eyes soaked with tears and a small smile formed on my face.

"I'm pregnant."
