I couldn't believe that Rory lost her virginity to Dean. Who is MARRIED! I was annoyed because apparently she couldn't see how wrong this whole thing was!

Mom and I talked in the reception and she told me about her and Luke, which made me believe in love again.

The only thing I said was. "About time, I thought Leonardo DiCaprio finally winning an Oscar would happen first!"

"When are you leaving?" Mom asked me. "Not until after July 4th and according to the agenda, I should be back on July 25th."

I looked over and I jumped. "Is that Kirk?"

"Yes."

"Naked?!"

"Yes."

"There's thorns stuck in his butt," Luke told us. "I'm not doing it," I said. "Evil," Mom grumbled.

She looked at me. "I'll come up in a bit," she reassured me. I nodded and I went upstairs.

"Where'd you disappear to?" Tessa asked me. "Mom and Luke kissed," I told her. "Finally!" Tessa cheered. "Anything else?"

"You have bleach to pour in my eyes. I saw Kirk naked," I mumbled. "Ew."

Me and Tessa came down in the morning and I was pretty exhausted, I didn't sleep all night. "You okay? You look pretty wrecked," Tessa pointed out.

"No, I didn't get any sleep," I admitted. I decided not to blab about Rory and Dean. Rory walked past us and went to sit down to breakfast.

"I can actually feel the room getting colder," Tessa quipped. "So I think there was a third item on that list."

"I promised my mom I'd keep my mouth shut, is that okay?" I wondered. "Yeah but once the mouth shut rule is lifted, tell me," Tessa said. "But your mom and Luke. Oh my God! I've been waiting for them to get together since forever!"

"Same," I laughed. "Okay, you need caffeine," she stated. "Pronto."

I looked into the reception to see Mom and Rory arguing. "Again?" I muttered.

"What do you mean 'again?'" Rory asked me. "I heard the cat fight last night," I confessed.

"And?" Rory wanted my opinion. "I'm with Mom on this one," I told her.

"Hezzy!"

"It was wrong!"

Rory stormed out of the inn. "I should've kept my mouth shut," I mumbled.

"Don't worry about it," Mom said to me. "We're officially not talking."

"Oh," I sighed. "Now what?"

"She'll probably storm off to Europe with Emily," Mom rolled her eyes. "Heather, you're the only family member I have that doesn't hate my guts."

"I intend to keep it that way," I told her. "And Mom?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm really happy for you and Luke, I'll go over to the diner and give him my blessing," I smiled.

I started heading towards Luke's, only to walk into Rory. "Hey," I mumbled, not really looking at her. "Hey," she said in the same tone.

We just stared at each other not talking. "I thought you'd be happy for me, like I was when you and Jess had your first time."

"Well, the circumstances are a little different, I was dating Jess, he was my boyfriend at the time, but Dean is married to another woman, I don't understand how you don't see how wrong this is!" I exclaimed.

"Oh please," Rory scoffed. "You're jealous!"

I started laughing. "My God! This is ridiculous! You seriously think I'm jealous?! I'm angry because I thought you were better than this. Thank you for proving me wrong."

I walked away from her and I walked into Luke's. "Hey Heather, coffee?"

I nodded and I gave him a small smile. "You have my blessing."

"I have your what?"

"To date my mom," I told him. "Thanks Heather, I appreciate it," Luke told me. "I've been waiting for this for ten years," I smirked.

"Somehow you and Tessa always knew, you were never oblivious," he chuckled. "Can I ask..have you heard from him?"

"Him?"

"Jess."

"Yeah, he's in Pennsylvania," Luke told me. "I'll tell him you were asking how he was."

"Thanks," I murmured, holding my coffee cup. My phone started ringing and Luke gave me a look.

"I'm going, I'm going," I told him, hopping off my stool and running outside. "Hello?"

"I need you and Rory back here, ASAP!"

"What's happening?" I asked her. "Your grandmother is here for her lunch with the three of us," Mom told me.

"I thought she left," I frowned. "Hezberry!"

"You know I hate that nickname," I rolled my eyes and started running.

Mom had a very nice set-up outside with these cozy chairs under a tree with lanterns. I sat opposite Grandma with Mom on my right and Rory on my left.

So Grandma and Rory were angry with Mom and vice versa and me and Rory were pissed off at each other.

"The weather's lovely," Grandma pointed out. "It is," I muttered. "I have something to tell you all, this may shock you but there's nothing that can be done, Lorelai, Rory, Heather, Richard and I have separated," she confessed.

"And?" Mom wanted a more thorough explanation. "Isn't that enough?" Grandma asked her rhetorically.

"We already knew," Mom told her. "Rory and Heather didn't," Grandma look at us.

"Well," Rory mumbled. "I sort of suspected it," I admitted.

"Well Lorelai, your father is moving into the poolhouse, I'm moving on and I'm going to tour Europe, I'm leaving tonight, my offer still stands Rory," Grandma said to her.

"Sounds great," Mom said bitterly, aiming that at Rory. "You don't have plans, so why not?"

"Then yes, I'd love to," Rory said, glaring at Mom. "Heather, are you sure you can't come too?" Grandma looked at me. "I'm sorry Grandma, I made other commitments," I told her.

"I'm going to use the phone Lorelai," Grandma went inside. "I'm going to stand over there and stare at a tree," I mumbled.

I got up and I headed towards the stables and I petted Cletus on his snout. "Well, buddy, this is going to be a quiet, yet awkward summer."

Mom came over to me. "Just you and me," she muttered putting her arm around me. "Yeah, just the two of us," I mumbled.
