It All Started With A Sweater (Stanford × Reader)

Y/N's P.O.V

Ford and I are walking in the forest,looking for the ingredient that he needs for his experiment,I think.

It's sunny today,except for the cold breeze,but I didn't mind that,because that's what nature does. As we were walking,Ford stopped for a moment and without paying attention to where I was going,I bumped into him.

"S..sorry!" I said,he didn't say anything and then he looked at a bush and then pointed at it "look over there" said Ford as he crouched,something was moving in the bushes "I want you to be calm and do not panic" he said as he lowers his arm,both of us were crouching and we stayed like that for a couple of seconds before the creature came out of the bushes,it was a platypus?

I look at Ford to see that he was smiling at the creature,I blushed a little bit,I have never seen him smile like that before "Is that a platypus?" I asked in a whisper "Not just any platypus,it's a plaidypus,their fur is in a flannel pattern,it can be any pattern that you can imagine" said Ford with excitement as he was whispering to me,I smiled "These creatures are harmless,so they won't hurt you",I look at him with a curious look on my face "How do you know that Ford?" he looked at me "I was studying supernatural anomalies for my entire life,from early childhood to high school to university to nightmare dimensions..." he paused and sighed "Nightmare dimensions?" I asked,he quickly changed the subject "Let's continue on our journey to search for the ingredient that I need to make something for your arm" and we started walking again.

Ford's P.O.V

I can't tell Y/N about my past,it's too early for that,I don't want to remind myself about the past,I wasn't fully sure if I could trust her yet.

I stopped walking again and I took a deep breath and then I look around,Y/N looked at me,she looked confused "Sorry about that,I was just thinking about something that I stopped walking" Oh no,that was really bad,"real" smooth there Stanford.

"Oh,it's okay,at least I didn't collide into you like before" said Y/N with a goofy smile,I smiled back and we continued on our search for the plant, "So what ingredient are we looking for anyway?",I look at her while walking "Oh,I forgot to tell you what it really was,we are looking for one Aloe Vera leaf,it might be in the forest on behind the waterfall of Gravity Falls" Y/N giggled a little bit and then she placed her hand on my shoulder "I know where it is" she said with a smile,I was surprised "Where is it Y/N?"

*Small Timeskip at the local flower shop in Gravity Falls*

Y/N stepped out of the shop with the Aloe Vera plant in a flower pot "You could have gotten the plant from the flower shop Ford,you didn't have to go through all the trouble to go look for it in the forest" said Y/N with a smile "I didn't know that we had a flower shop at all!" I said with a shocked tone in my voice,I felt ashamed of myself for not knowing about this,we started to go back to the Mystery Shack or in other words my house.

"Thank you for letting me go with you on a walk,I needed to clear my mind off of the bad things that I have been thinking about" said Y/N with small smile "You're welcome Y/N",I noticed that her face was a little bit red,I started to get worried "Are you okay?" "Yes,I'm okay,don't worry about it Ford" she said,I sighed in relief "Okay,if you say so",there was comfortable silence around us as we were making our way back to the Mystery Shack.
