Request: Hey just wondering for your formula racing one-shot book could you do one of Marcus Armstrong where you have quite a flirty friendship and all your friends try to convince ye to get together thanks

(Y/n) and Marcus laid on the couch, his arm around her as they cuddled on his couch watching a movie with their friends at his place, their friends were on the floor sitting on a blanket with another blanket over them as they watched the movie, the only reason why (Y/n) and Marcus were on the couch was that their friends thought that they needed to get together and finally become a couple, even though they keep telling them that they're just friends and it probably wouldn't work as a couple, they were happy so why change that?

"Ugh, look how cute they are." Zara comments on the movie, but also hinting at her friends.

"Mhm, very cute." (Y/n) replies not paying attention to her comment.


"Oh my gosh, you guys should go on a date!" Paige says, (Y/n) lets out an annoyed sighed as the subject was brought up again. "A candlelit dinner with a beautiful view."

"Aw, that sounds very romantic," Zara says, Marcus lets out an irritated sigh, how many times would they have to tell their friends to stop?


"Would you two stop hint and just come out and say it?" Hayden says.

"Ugh, would you guys stop? For the hundredth time, we're not going on a date." Marcus says, at first (Y/n) and Marcus would play it off but then the question became very annoying very fast. "We're very happy with our friendship."

"Oh come on, I bet you're already dating." Hayden states. "Because I'm not buying this flirtation thing you have going on."

"What's wrong with our flirty relationship, Hayden?" (Y/n) asks. "We're really happy with how things are going, why should we change it?"

"Eventually you're going to end up dating, why not just start now?" Zara asks, (Y/n) sits up on the couch and Marcus begins playing with her hair.

"If that does happen, it will happen, why should we rush it?" (Y/n) asks. "We're happy with what we have, Zara."

"Are you telling us that neither of you has ever thought of becoming more? Doing more?" Paige asks, the movie being forgotten as the subject escalates.

"Just come and say it, Paige." (Y/n) says. "If we ever thought of having sex." Marcus's hand freeze on her lower back, they had never spoken about having sex with each other. "No we haven't, if we wanted to we would be friends with benefits."

"You're lying, Marcus?" Hayden asks. "Honestly tell us, have you ever thought about her in that way?"

"No, we haven't even spoken about that," Marcus says. "It never crossed my mind."

"I call bullshit, but whatever," Zara says. "We can all see it but you're both so blind!"

"Seriously? When are you guys going to get over it? (Y/n) and I am perfectly happy with our friendship." Marcus says, (Y/n) gets up from the couch and carefully steps around everyone.

"Where are you going? We're not done with this conversation." Paige says, Marcus sits up on the couch.

"I'm going to the bathroom, Paige." (Y/n) says. "And yes, I do think this conversation is over." (Y/n) leaves the living room going to the bathroom, Marcus lets out a sigh and got up from the couch.

"I'm going to make sure she's all right," Marcus says, carefully stepping around their friends. "If this is going to be brought up constantly then I'm not going to invite you guys over anymore." Marcus leaves the living room and makes his way towards the bathroom, (Y/n) steps out of the bathroom and sees Marcus leaning against the wall.

"Hey." (Y/n) softly smiles at him.

"You all right?" Marcus asks, (Y/n) nods her head.

"Yeah, yeah, I just— ugh, when will they stop bugging us?" (Y/n) asks, Marcus pushes himself off the wall and takes a step closer to (Y/n).



"We both know when they will stop bugging us," Marcus says, (Y/n) nods her head.

"Then maybe we should just do it." (Y/n) says. "If it gets them to shut up, then maybe we should go on one date, just to prove to them that we're better off as friends." Marcus nods his head. "I'll be ready tomorrow at five."

"Tomorrow? That quick?" Marcus asks.

"Might as well get it over with." (Y/n) says, Marcus nods his head.

"Right... yes, tomorrow, at five." Marcus says. "Remember to be your gorgeous self, but in a dress." (Y/n) smiles at him.

"You bet your ass that I will be in a beautiful dress." (Y/n) says, they make their way back to the living room to announce their decision, neither of them knowing just how in love they actually were.
