It took quite a bit of effort to convince the Jedi Council Anakin needed a meditative retreat. But after back and forth hesitation, he was granted his leave.
Padmé was a little wary about leaving Ahsoka behind, but it was Anakin who'd assure her Lux would keep Snips safe.
"Alright," Anakin started to Lux and Ahsoka. "No drinking, no smoking, no partying, no going out after dark, no messing with people's business, no sharing a bed, and no sex. Clear?" The two teenagers nodded in agreement and shared a glimpse. "Oh, and one more thing: don't do anything I wouldn't do."
"Yessir," they both retorted in unison.
"Please be safe," Padmé said apprehensively, looping the two into a tight-knit squeeze. Letting go, Padmé subconsciously placed a hand on her belly, and gave a curt nod.
After mumbling many let's goes from Anakin, the couple went on their way to Naboo for two standard weeks.
The Cloud docked in Theed just after nine. The glistening stars of Naboo stood out to Padmé that night. "These stars are just so pretty, Ani! I wish we could see them in Coruscant."
"Not nearly half as pretty as the woman in front of me," Anakin countered, taking his wonderful wife's petite hand in his. Padmé' let out—what she considered—an ugly snort. "What's so funny?" Anakin demanded.
"Oh, just your flattery." She tugged his arm in a playful mood. "Let's go to Varykino!" she pleaded. "It seems like it's been years."
"Alrighty then."
"We have some pretty strict rules to live by, if I do say so myself." Lux sighed with boredom, slacking lazily in his relaxing chair.
"The fact they're even leaving us alone is saying something." Ahsoka sprawled herself on the fluffy carpet. "When do you go back to Onderon?"
"I'm not sure. I know I still have at least a month or so here." The dullness in the air grew with each ticking millisecond. "Why?"
"Just wondering." Lazily, Ahsoka put her arm in an L-shape to cover her eyes. "I'm bored," she announced.
"Me too," Lux concurred. "I think Anakin went a little overboard on the rules situation, don't you think? Like not sharing a bed! We've done it before and he didn't seem to be upset about that."
Ahsoka sniggered. "I hope he knows that we're going to break almost all of the things he set in place."
"Oh, yeah. Sometimes you just gotta down that hard rum while dancing with pretty twi'lek girls in the middle of the pub!" laughed Lux, slightly fixing his posture. "Just kidding. I can dance with my own pretty girl right here."
"I mean, they are prettier than me so I wouldn't blame you—"
"Shut up, Ahsoka. You're the prettiest one of them all. I will only get drunk if you're there with me."
Sitting up to a slouched position, Ahsoka shrugged. "I guess so."
Lux rolled his eyes. "You're so difficult sometimes, you know?"
Ahsoka crawled closer to the senator. "That's one of the many reasons you love me."
"You're right. That is one of the many reasons." Lux bit his lip as he thought about his beautiful woman. "Come here, 'Soka," he said, patting to his lap.
The confused Togruta waddled on her hands and knees to his feet, and then stopped. Standing to her feet, Lux patted his lap again. "Sit," he ordered. He pulled Ahsoka by the waist and sat her down himself. He proceeded to peck a trail down her collarbone. "There's one thing I can think of that could cure our boredom," he said in a low voice.
