Upon Tim's final statement some outcries came from Eli, Dottie and Owen.
"If she knows about Angelo and Bella then killing Max isn't going to be a huge shock to the system. It's the natural next step." Dottie argued as Owen and Eli said similar overlapping points.
"Oh, shut up, all of you." Tim silenced them. "We need him alive as leverage for (Y/n) to behave. Once she's more accustomed to the situation then Max is as good as dead."
"It's always waiting with you, isn't it?" Eli scoffed.
"Have some patience. Stop being so childish." Tim scolded him.
"It's not being childish." Dottie pitched in. "It's being sick of your shit."
"We need to keep working as a unit of you want anything to happen so I don't care if you're 'sick of my shit'. If you want to kill Max, be my guest but I'm warning you now that killing him will help no one right now." Tim said.
A silence followed, one that no one dared to break. Tim could practically touch the antagonism that was directed at him and it frustrated him- he was supposed to be in charge. Why the hell weren't they listening to him??
"We should speak to (Y/n)." Surprisingly, it was Hana that broke the quietness in the room. "She is probably very frightened." She subtly glared at Tim, angry at him for pointing a gun at her.
"I agree." Owen stood up, he was most eager to set things straight and make (Y/n) understand that he didn't kill Angelo just for the sake of killing him. It was for her! Then she'd understand and wouldn't be scared anymore.
(Y/n) was holding a damp rag from her bathroom to the spot that Max was injured in as he sighed from the slight relief it offered him.
Her hold on the cloth tightened when she heard saw her door handle move. "Max." She hissed.
He craned his neck to see the door opening and grabbed (Y/n)'s arm on instinct. Both of them were sure that these were their final moments.
Tim and Owen were first to walk in unsurprisingly but then (Y/n)'s eyes went wide as they were followed by Hana, Dottie and Eli. Her breath hitched as she too gripped onto Max.
Owen rushed to where (Y/n) was sat upon her bed, prompting both her Max to scramble to the other side. "What's going on??" (Y/n) put herself in front of her friend and tried to hide just how terrified she was.
"(Y/n)..." Owen smiled at her gently. "There's no need to be afraid, you're not going to get hurt."
(Y/n) blinked a few times since disbelief, she looked over at the other players who were standing by the door. Dottie also had a soft beam on her face, Eli was glaring at Max, Tim seemed to be sizing the situation up and Hana was staring down at her feet. "I..don't understand. You murdered Angelo! You framed Bella and..." She glanced to Hana. "You killed her too."
Hana didn't react externally, she had her eyes shut and tried to remove her mind from the room, unable to stomach (Y/n)'s disappointment.
"Please, (Y/n), just listen and everything will be perfect." Owen said calmly, still standing on the opposite side of the bed that (Y/n) and Max were huddled together on.
(Y/n) didn't say anything or make any further moves, her brain was still taking everything in and attempting to figure a way out.
Eli let out a sharp breath when seeing her lack of response, he shot over to where she and Max were and wasted no time in forcefully pulling (Y/n) away. She let out a yelp of shock and Max tried to grab her back but had to pause to clutch his aching skull.
"Let her go!" He cried out. "Don't hurt her!"
(Y/n) fought Eli's hold on her but he seemed pretty unfazed by her wriggling as he kept one arm around her waist and one on the small of her back. "I don't know if you were listening, shit for brains, but (Y/n) isn't getting hurt." He pushed his face into the crook of her neck and muttered something inaudible in an attempt to calm her down but his hot breath on her skin only acted as more incentive for (Y/n) to fight her way free from his grasp.
"We only want to take care of you, (Y/n), please stop fighting." Dottie stepped forward and said sweetly.
Max looked at the chaos around him in sheer confusion, still holding the back of his head tightly to ease some of the pain. "What the hell is happening?!" He vocalised the thought that both he and (Y/n) shared in.
(Y/n) sat crossed legged on the floor. Max was still in pain on her bed but the two hadn't said a word to each other since the other players left. The door had once again been obscured so they couldn't get out.
(Y/n)'s heart felt hollow, she never thought she'd feel that way after having five people confess their undying love for her but here she was. She didn't want their love if it drove them to kill and hurt others.
"You shouldn't feel guilty." Max said in a gutteral voice. "What happened to Angelo and Bella wasn't your fault and... Whatever becomes of me isn't your fault either, okay?"
She gasped for some air, some relief from the drowning sensation she felt. "This can't be real." (Y/n) hugged her middle and rocked forward. "What the fuck is going on?"
Sure, she'd got her explanation of the past and the present but she wanted to know of her future. She couldn't be with any of them, they all made her sick. They were liars, manipulators, and worst of all murderers.
"Bella was right." She uttered. "Bella was always right and we let her die."
Max wanted to say something that could cheer her up but he was also struggling to come to terms with what was going on. They were stuck on an island at the mercy of these psychos who massively outnumbered them. Their only hope was the Gamemaster, and Max didn't like those odds.
The door soon opened and Tim stepped inside, a familiar handgun rest in his right palm. "Max, we're moving you back to your own room." He stated.
(Y/n) started to stand to help Max get up but Tim shook his head at her. "Kitten, please don't make any movements right now."
She shuddered at the nickname and stayed put, despite all five of them being adamant that no harm would come to her she didn't want some stupid rebellious action to prompt them to do something to Max. She also wasn't sure how true they'd stay to their promises, it was always worded in the strangest fashion.
They'd say something like: 'No harm will come to you... So long as you listen' or 'If you just obey then I promise you'll be happy'. They couldn't expect her to just roll over when they give the command, she wasn't an animal.
Max got himself up and sent a sorrowful look to (Y/n) as he walked over to Tim, he winced as he felt the muzzle of the gun make contact with his back.
"If you're good then I'll consider letting you two see each other." Tim cooed over to (Y/n) with a soft look in his eyes. (Y/n) didn't look at him, she couldn't even do it if she tried.
Tim huffed at her ignoring him but decided to let it go for now. She was still learning what the consequences for disobedience would be.
He led Max out of the room and shut the door after him, leaving (Y/n) trapped again.
Her arms tightened around herself defensively. (Y/n) wasn't ready to accept this, she would never be ready for this.
