Chapter twenty: planning ahead

Your eyes widened in shock.

"Yes...we know what you are. And we'll be keeping an eye on you. Watch your back." He rasped out, voice quivering slightly with an evil laugh as he staggered away into the crowd. Disappearing from view.

Ochaco alerted security of the incident and you and Midoriya where later taken to the police station to answer questions about what Shigaraki had said to you.

Midoriya informed you that he was the one responsible for the mass villain attack on UA when you where still in hospital from your incident. The fact that he knew about your quirk worried you. 'How did he know? The league of villains...does this mean they're going to try and hurt me? Is it because I have a mythic quirk?' A wide dam of worries burst it's bank inside of your mind.

Your friend could tell you where stressed and got his mum to give you a lift. When you got back home you locked all doors and windows and kept all of the lights on. You stayed in the living room with Otis. Too worried to be alone.

Katsuki had text you after news got out about the villains appearance and the mall closing temporarily, you told him about what Shigaraki had said to you and how they seemed to want something to do with you being a shapeshifter. He called you almost immediately, ranting about how stupid you where for being alone, especially after you where just threatened.

It took a lot of convincing but you managed to persuade Katsuki to calm down. He was going on an on about coming to get you, by the sounds of it he already had one foot out of the door but you didn't want to bother him. After you persuaded him not to come get you, you hung up and tried to get some sleep. Your dreams where plagued by Shigaraki's twisted face.

His jagged, writhing smile, his grating voice, his deep red eyes. It all woke you up in a panicked sweat. You barely got any sleep. It was like a virus that spread around your body, giving you pins and needles when you thought about what he said.

Knock, knock, knock.

"H-hold on I'm coming!" You stumbled out of bed clumsily, bumping your hip against the desk in your room. Sadly, your pyjama shorts didn't serve as much protection as the edge of the wooden desk cut into the skin of your thigh. You cursed at the impact, stumbling around and rubbing the newly forming bruise violently as you tumbled down the stairs.

Another loud round of knocking rang through the house, causing Otis to bark wildly. "I'm coming! Jeez. It's so early what the heck do you want!" You swung the door open to see Katsuki stood in front of the door. He had a large duffel bag slung over his shoulder and a grumpy sneer on his face.

"Idiot. I knew you'd forget. Today's the camping trip." He growled out at you. You deadpanned, almost forgetting to breath. "Ummmm....."

"WAIT DID YOU EVEN PACK?" He screamed, his knuckles turning white from gripping the strap of his bag angrily.

Your hand shot up to your forehead as you realised just how careless you had been. You looked at the clock. At least there was still an hour till you had to be on the bus.

Screaming like a wild animal you rushed up stairs and started shoving clothes into your backpack. Katsuki growled wildly, shaking in annoyance as he took the screwed up clothes back out of the bag and folding them in an overly exaggerated manner, his furrowed brow twitching in anger as you fumbled around in the bathroom.

You came out dressed in your school uniform. Your tie hanging around your shoulders as you hopped around to pull your knee length socks up. You roughly brushed you hair out of your face and let out a large sigh as you collapsed face first on the floor from exhaustion.
