You let out the loudest sigh ever before sliding down further in your seat. You let out a yelp of pain as a sharp stabbing sensation radiated from your upper thigh. You jolted upright in your seat to see Katsuki had prodded the swelling graze and large bruise from your fight with the table corner.
"How the hell did ya get that?" He grumbled, going in for a second poke of the wound. You slapped his hand away and rubbed at the aching spot before pulling the bottom of your skirt down to cover the mark.
"I ran into a table...twice." You pouted, turning up your nose and crossing your arms. You could hear the boy scoff next to you.
"Typical. Seeing as we're talking about you being brain dead, why the hell didn't you wake up on time?" He shifted slightly in his chair as the bus started to move forward.
"I...haven't been sleeping too well since that Shigaraki guy spoke to me." Your face fell as you collected your hands gingerly in your lap. Katsukis stern expression once again softened at the sight of your uncomfortable state. He sighed lightly before placing his hand on your shoulder.
His warm fingers through the fabric of your shirt comforted you, warming you up and setting a small blush spreading from ear to ear.
You cast your eyes even further towards your shoes, arching your back to fold in on yourself and using your hair to hide your eyes. The warm hand was removed from your shoulder and the pins and needles of fear returned to the surface of your skin. A calloused finger reached through the hair covering your face and pulled it away, back over your shoulder.
Katsuki leaned down to look through the gap he had made. Your eyes locked with his for a second as small tears stung your eyelids. His face showed little emotion but his eyes seemed to glow warmly with reassurance. He opened his mouth to say something before he shook himself slightly and leaned back into his chair.
"You should sleep now then. Aizawa said the trip would be an hour till our first stop right?...I'll wake you up when we get there. But if you lean on me you're dead! Got it?" He grumbled. Not in an angry way, just a hoarse whisper.
You smiled to yourself before huffing out a slight laugh and leaning on the armrest. You put your earphones in to silence the loud cheers of your classmates before you closed your eye and slipped into a dream.
He had you held by the shoulders, a single finger away from disintegration. You shivered as red eyes mocked, spinning around you faster and faster until you became nauseous. An empty chair sat in front of you. Evidence of a bloody struggle lay strewn across the cobbled floor and glass shards pricked the flesh of your bare knees.
The final finger pressed into your collarbone as searing agony was sent like a tremor through your body, sending you into convulsing spasms as the red eyes screamed out in laughter.
Your body racked with sobs and yells as your skin fractured and flaked away.
Your eyes shot open as you gasped for air. Drenched in sweat and heaving for a whole breath. When you came to your senses you realised you where still in the coach. Concerned classmates where gathered around you, Aizawa seemed to be on the phone in the distance.
You felt yourself overheating, as you thrashed around frantically only to find you where being constricted. Your hands where held braised around your hips. A strong pair of arms where wrapped around you.
You turned back to see the explosive boy Katsuki Bakugo with a slightly bloodied nose and almost as out of breath as you where.
"Is she awake yet?" You heard Aizawa's voice as he pushed through the students. Katsuki loosened his iron grip of you and clutched at his nose, gritting his teeth."What...what happened?" You asked, holding your head as you tried to cool yourself down.
"Dude you started screaming and lashing out in your sleep!" Kirishima called out.
"Yeah we couldn't wake you up it was really scary.." Ochaco's voice wavered from somewhere in the crowd.
"Bakugo had to restrain you until you stopped shouting and crying. You gave him a killer headbutt to the nose." Denki laughed nervously.
You turned to see Katsuki wiping at his nose slightly. The back of his hand painted with a streak of blood and a small bruise formed across the bridge of his nose.
"It's not broken but you gave it your best damn go. You really are a clutz." He mumbled, flashing you a slight grin.
"I'm so sorry everyone I..." you choked up a bit. Gripping the hem of your skirt.
"Hey don't worry about it. We're just glad you're ok!" Midoriya gave you a worried smile. He understood how shaken you must've been by Shigaraki's appearance.
Aizawa handed you a tissue to dry your eyes as he gave a small ice pack for Katsuki's nose.
"If everything's ok now we should get back on track. It's not far till our first stop now." Aizawa droned as he made his way through the crowd and back to the front of the bus. Your friends all gave you a comforting smile before making their way back to their seats.
"Sorry Katsuki..." you whispered in his direction. You couldn't make eye contact with him.
"Psh, don't worry 'bout it. Takes more than a headbutt to faze me. Besides you should've seen Dekus face! The little shit almost crapped his pants!" He started laughing harshly with an evil grin.
His sense of humour was questionable but made you smile and gather enough courage to look up at him. The damage you'd done was barely noticeable except from the small bruise across the bridge of his nose.
You grinned devilishly before quickly jabbing at it with your finger. "AH! Christ Swiper, what the hell was that for?" He shouted at you angrily.
"It's only fair! You poked my bruise so I poked yours!" You giggled slightly, the colour returning to your cheeks. That is until he jabbed your bruised thigh again. "OW!" You yelled at him. Poking and prodding at each others bruises as the bus started moving again.
Even though he never really showed it, you could tell he cared.
