(prompt: 'found' 01/05/2020)
Four rare Rain Frogs found at Forty Mile... harmonising superbly in unique falsetto fashion.
Their lilting lyrics went something like this -
'Singing out our pain,
Just singing out our pain.
Such a dry dusty season,
'nother day without rain.
Sit-ting in our pond,
Wond'ring what's gone wrong,
We're singing, just singing - out our pain.'
Quintessential quartet members stated -
"We make no apologies for the song's striking similarity to the crooner/swooner/tapper-extraordinaire of yesteryear - Gene Kelly. He tried."
- and -
"You'd smile too, if you could eat what bugs you".
And all this time, you thought they just croaked!?!
Author's Note: Once again, 100 words exactly! The title does not enter into the count, thankfully!
