THREE ━━━ THE GIRL
WHO HAD NO ONE

SLUT.

WHORE.

BITCH.

You blankly stared at the desk in front of you, looking at the clean mahogany surface that was now vandalized with vulgar words and phrases.

GO DIE.

KILL YOURSELF.

Your grip on the strap of your bag tightened as you glanced around the room, seeing the eyes of your classmates diverting away from you. The ambiance was tensed and silent. Your lungs felt like it was being pushed down as all of the air came out, making you take sharp breaths at that moment.

You turned your head over to Hiroshi, looking at his hesitant eyes before he quickly avoids your gaze. You could almost hear your heart tear into pieces. Hurt was evident in your facial features as you looked back at your desk, holding back the tears that were about to erupt.

"...ey! Hey!"

You blinked, realizing that you were deep in your thoughts and came back to your senses when the male called you out. Your knees were up to your chest as your back leaned against the railings of the rooftop. You wrapped your arms around your calves and raised your head, looking up at the male who just arrived.

He was panting heavily, trying to regain his breath as his sharp eyes gaze at your crouching figure. "You..." The male trailed off, catching a breath before he continued. "Do you think this will end all your suffering?" He asked and clenched his fists.

Yes.

Your eyes dropped to the ground as your gloomy smile morphed into a small frown. "I'm a loner... I don't have any friends at all." Your mind flashed back to Hiroshi's face, remembering the hesitant look he had when his eyes met yours and how he avoided you then. It made your heart ached as you recalled the moments you both had, but now it was all just mere memories.

Memories that you shouldn't cherish for too long since it will crawl right back to you and leave you broken once again.

"They ignored me like I'm some kind of virus..." You murmured and felt your eyes start to well up in tears. "I don't fit in with anyone here." You shed a tear, wiping it away with your thumb.

Kageyama clicked his tongue and approached the railings, the sound of his footsteps getting louder as he draws near. "So what if you don't have any friends?" The first-year retorted, stuffing his hands inside his pants' pockets and halted when he was now just by the barrier of the rooftop.

You gritted your teeth harshly and gripped on your skirt tightly as you tried to control your emotions. "You think that having no one there to back you up isn't bad?" You hissed bitterly and faced your head up to the male, your E/C-colored eyes weakly glaring at his tall figure.

"Do you think that it's fine if you eat alone during break times? Do you think it's fine if you receive the pitiful stares of your batch mates every time you walked past them?"

The setter stared down at you, his eyes starting to express sympathy by your words as his head turned to look at the sunset. "I may not relate to you in those kinds of things... But I can relate when it comes to having friends." Kageyama spoke out and propped his arms on top of the railings.

Your eyes softened a bit as you listened to the dark-haired male, pausing for a moment and patiently waited for the guy's next words.

"Although I do have my teammates in Volleyball. We don't hang out outside practices that much." The male explained as his dark blue irises focused back on your blank expression. "But there are some people who were always by my side." He continued, his voice lacing with gentleness and tranquility whenever he speaks.

"Who?"

"My family."

Your eyes widened a bit from those two impactful words as your mouth went agape. Kageyama noticed your change of expression and knew that he hit a nerve. "Friends come and go, but your family will always stick beside you." The setter advised as he stepped away from the railings and crouched down to your sitting form.

You froze on your spot as your heart began to feel warm, remembering the days where you'd play at the playground with your mother. It may seem like a simple memory for anyone, but in your case, it was something you have cherished in your heart for a long time now.

The dark-haired male watched your body tensed up as his sharp eyes met with your glassy ones. "So even if some students ignore you at school. You're still loved by everyone at home." He softly said, raising his arm and offered a hand.

"It's getting dark. Dinner's waiting at the table you know." He murmured, looking away bashfully and waited for your response.

You stared at his large hand as your heartbeat begins to quicken its rate. The corner of your eyes was now prickling with your tears. You hesitantly raised your hand, which tremored lightly and took the male's palm. His calloused fingers may have been uncomfortable for some people but it feels so right to you.

Kageyama slowly stood up from his position and helped the female go out of the railings, watching her land on the ground and pat her skirt like their last encounter. He stood on his place, shifting awkwardly and looking around as he didn't know what to do since he finally talked you out once again.

You bent down and grabbed your bag, slinging the strap on your shoulder and looked up at the taller male. "Hey..." Your faint voice caught his attention as you raised your chin to look at his tall stature. "I didn't catch your name before." You pointed out, remembering that this stranger in front of you hasn't introduced himself at all.

Kageyama was a bit surprised when the girl asked for his name. He cleared his throat and bowed his head slightly, "It's Tobio... Kageyama Tobio." The male answered and straightened his posture once again.

You nod your head, fiddling with the zipper of your bag, and glanced down to your shoes. "So... Kageyama-kun." Your trailed off, the way you softly mentioned his name made the setter's chest burn lightly as he stared at your timid form.

"Wanna grab dinner with me? I'm hungry."
