Another day, another dime! A young woman resided in a boring house as her lover still (surprisingly) had a job. This quarantine was a lot longer than the two had predicted and as worried as anyone was they tried to limit themselves in the house. The woman had lost her job and was laying on the floor and staring at the ceiling. "Nothing to DO!" She yelled into the void of nothingness. A never-ending spin of life. She didn't want to get too far in her into her mind. She closed her eyes in thought. A board game? More like BORING game. Clean the place again? Keyword again. Read? What, the Dictionary? She shook her head. "I don't want to do that again." She openly stated. She loudly sighed and looked up at the desk that her partner spends hours sitting at with his games. She squinted her eyes and hummed. "Slime Rancher." She mumbled to herself and she rolled to her feet. A smile played on her face. "Imma feed my boys!" She said excitedly as she sat at the chair and unlocked the computer. The smile disappeared with confusion. The notes were open and a file read 'To Her'. Her head tilted. "Okay then."
Hours ticked by and the sun retired. The door clicked before it opened to a man in uniform. Not a military one, just a Publix one. There is still respect. He sighed as he took off his shoes and set his hat thing down at the small table that greeted anyone who walked in. "Olivia. I'm home." He stated. The void sucked up his call. Silence in return. "Olivia?". Light giggling was heard from the bedroom. The man had a tired smile on his face. He quickly made his way to the room. He turned the corner and looked at the bed. A quick surprise painted his face when his love wasn't on the bed doodling or something of the sort. Another set of giggles came from the far left wall of the room. There she was, sitting at the desk playing the game that involved cute little slimes and a simplified farming system. A pang of anxiety struck the man. Did he leave that thing open? Right before he could say something, Olivia said something darkly.
"This is Sparta, you rainbowy black bitch!" She whisper-yelled into the screen. She then loudly clicked the mouse and smiled wickedly as she watched the tar fly off the cliff and splash into the ocean slime. A hand rested on to her shoulders. She jumped and quickly turned to see her beloved. Her face turned into one full of happiness than to one of horror. "Oh god! What time is it?" She said getting up. A soft pair of lips fell on her forehead. She enjoyed the touch but pushed away. "I didn't make you anything to eat!" She cried. She stress soaked the room. A tap sounded and a careful hand paused the game. "Thank you." She said and her eyes met soft ones. Her eyes widened. "Jesus. Your beat!" Before she could turn and make her way out of the room, she was enveloped in a hug. They both took a couple of steps back and then the woman's eyes widened as she saw that they were falling on the bed. The two grunted and they landed. "Lee!" Olivia playfully complained.
"Yeah?" Lee replied with a smirk forming on his face. The only reply he got was a sigh. "So," He drug out his words. "How was your day?" Olivia beside him let out an exaggerated sigh and flailed her arms dramatically. "Thank you for cleaning the house." He stated. Olivia curled up closer to him and sighed, this time full of content. The two laid together in peace. Olivia hummed.
"How was your's, my lovely little carnation?" Olivia asked with a smile on her face. Lee looked over at the small form laid next to him in confusion.
"What?" Lee questioned. Olivia giggled and pushed herself up to plant a kiss on his cheek. Lee looked up at the ceiling in ignorance. Suddenly something clicked in his mind and Lee's eyes went wide. Lee suddenly sat up and looked at Olivia. "Olivia..." Lee trailed off. "Did you- Was the file- Hold on!" Lee put his hands up and put his hand on his cheek. Lee touched the spot where Olivia kissed him. His face turned beet-red and nervously turned his gaze to his lover. Olivia looked lovingly back at Lee with a slightly tilted head. Lee looked down quickly, Olivia's gaze being too much. Lee brought his hands to his face in an attempt to hide the flush. "D-Did you...?" Lee stuttered, not daring to look up. Olivia leaned against Lee and nodded. "And read?" Olivia nodded again. Lee groaned.
Olivia recited the entire love letter. By the end of it, Lee couldn't look at her. Olivia then took it as a challenge. Trying to get Lee to face her was a difficult task, yet in the end a gentle hand can do wonders against anyone. Olivia smiled softly and leaned back. Olivia just looked at him in awe. "Why?" Olivia asked all of a sudden. Lee looked away again and just lived in the flustered state. "Why wouldn't you want me to read that?" Olivia said softly. "It's not like it was for another girl or anything." Olivia's head was left at a tilt by the end of the sentence. Lee looked down with a small frown.
"We-Well, but...Ye-Yeah, but the-that..." Lee sighed deeply. Lee rubbed his arm with a thoughtful look in his eyes. "I just wrote that a long time ago. It's probably chock-full of stupid mistakes. And the metaphors are just tacky. I even left it to where it doesn't even explain half of -!" Lee's ramble stopped at the passionate kiss that Olivia granted him. Lee leaned into the kiss and once Olivia pulled away, he was left leaning forward with a dreamy look. The look left his face once Olivia started laughing. Nervousness bounced back into his demeanor. "What?" Lee asked quietly.
"I'm-" Olivia started but cut herself off with another outburst of laughter. "I'm dating such a nerd!" Olivia fell back into her laughter. Lee froze at her words. He stared at her for a moment. A smile began to form on his face and he began to chuckle. Olivia regained her composer, wiped her eye from a comical tear, and sighed. "Lee, I guess that's how you know you're growing as a love note maker person." Olivia giggled at her own words. Lee hummed in thought with the same smile on his face.
"I guess you're right," He said.
"Of course I'm right!" Olivia exclaimed. Lee smiled devilishly. He clasped her in an inescapable hug. Olivia shrieked and giggled as the two fell back on the bed. The night continued with a comfy sleep in the warm embrace of lovers.
