After asking around with a lot of people I am able to find out that there is an astronomer in the city. I manage to eventually find his shop.

A little bell rings as I walk through the door. The shop is covered with maps and charts.

"Ah a customer" An old man steps out from what I assume is his backroom "What can I do for you?"

"Well you see I am actually looking for some information, I am willing to pay for it" I pull out a gold coin and place it on the counter. The old man's eyes light up at the sight of the coin.
"Whatever you need? We have telescopes, star charts, maps of the land, best around I might add.-" I have cut him off before he makes me dizzy from talking too fast.

"I am actually just passing through and I was wondering when the next full moon is. You are able to tell me right?" The old man seems taken aback by my question but quickly composes himself.

"The next full moon will be in three days time. May I ask why you want this information?"

"No" I growl with that I turn and leave hearing the little bell ring as I go. Shit, three days that's all I have. When I was on my own a full moon was never an issue but now I don't see how I am going to ditch those three for a full night without a valid excuse.

I trade my last few coins for two bottles of ale. If I am going to be stuck in a wagon with Trevor and Alucard I don't want to remember some of it. Storing the drinks in my satchel I make it back around the same time as Sypha.

We leave Gresit with the last of the setting sun. Trevor and Sypha sit up in front and Alucard and I sit in the back. I let my legs dangle over the edge of the wagon.

I peer up at Alucard, his eyes are closed. I wonder if he is sleeping after a year of sleeping. How would that even work? What am I thinking I'm a fucking werewolf, I am something that isn't realistic.

"You're staring Charlie" I jump a little at Alucard's voice; he doesn't even open his eyes.

"You have her hair you know" I whisper

"Who's?"

"Your mother's. You both have those long beautiful golden locks." I stare dreamly at it like it would somehow swallow me up in its flow.

Alucard opens one eye glancing down at me "You knew Lisa Tepes?"

I glance back at Trevor and Sypha but they are talking to each other, not paying attention to the two of us. "Hm, she saved my life once. She found me naked, wounded, and dying on the forest floor. She saw my scratch scar, she knew exactly what I was but she was not afraid." I can feel a tear creep into my vision but I quickly brush it away. It was nice to talk to someone about her. "She lifted me up and carried me back to her home and patched me up. She was married to Dracula at the time but he was traveling. I was one of a few female werewolves ever made and I never met another werewolf except for one that turned me. I was an emotional wreck after months of waking up in villages surrounded by bodies. My body covered in blood, my teeth full of guts. Lisa was kind, she helped me control my emotions so I would not turn when I became very angry. Then she told me it was time for me to find connection to humans, I agreed." The tears were now free flowing. "I returned to find her smell in the wind, I heard her calls asking Dracula to spare them, to spare them all. She was all around me in the air on their clothes like I could reach out and touch her but I always fell short. I failed her in the end. I should have been there to stop them. She showed me nothing but kindness and I failed her in the end." my last words were nothing but a whisper. A sudden pressure around me shocks me. Alucard wraps me into a tight hug as I quietly sob into his jacket. "I am so sorry I failed to save your mother. I am stronger than a human. I can heal faster. My smell is stronger as is my hearing is sharper. And yet in the end I was not able to save one innocent human."

Alucard took my hood off and dragged his fingers through my short brown hair. It was a good feeling it was so soft yet grounding.

"It was not your fault" Alucard whispers in my ear. "It was not your fault that she was killed. Some humans are just corrupt as are some vampires but we can not let the corrupt ones change how we see ourselves." His words helped to soothe the pain that ached in my heart. Alucard hums softly as he pats my hair. I am tired. There curled up in Dracula's son's lap no, in Lisa Tepes son's lap I found peace. Alucard kept combing through my hair as he hummed. I drift off to sleep to the rocking of the wagon.
