NINI'S POV
"Ricky.... I'm ready."
My ecstatic smile was met with a confused, and almost scared looking stare.
"I- you.." Ricky stuttered. "Y-you're ready?"
My smile faltered slightly. "Yeah, I'm ready. Ready for us. I- I.. is that okay?"
"Yeah! Yeah Nini that's great." Ricky ran his hand through his hair. He looked completely flustered. "But you're ready now? Like right now, right now?"
"I mean, yes....?" I felt a ping of pure pain in my chest. "If you're not ready, o-or something, we can wait."
Ricky grimaced. "I-i'm not actually ready. Ri-right this second..?" my heart sank. I felt like I had just been stabbed with a sword in my chest. "B-but I will be! In......" Ricky stuttered quickly. He glanced at his watch, then down the hall. "Three hours?"
I cocked my head in confusion. "three hours?"
"Yes!" He exclaimed. "Give me three hours, okay? You got to trust me on this, neens."
I shook my head quickly, a tiny lump in my throat forming. "Yeah sure, three hours." I choked out. Ricky gave me a pained look before quickly grabbing me hands. "No, Ricky, it's fine." I said with a tight smile. "You waited four weeks for me, I can wait three hours through two periods until lunch for an answer."
Ricky squeezed my hand before kissing my forehead once, twice, three times. "You are the best by far. You know that?"
"No you." I grinned. He smiled brightly at me, then ran off to his next class, leaving me alone in the hallway to my pure confusion and a little pain.
The next three hours of my life where by far the slowest hours in the history of the universe. I felt like I could have lived an entire life time in those hours. They were basically years of teachers droning and random worksheets filled with things that would just be nothings in the future. All I could think about was the painful conversation I had with Ricky, and what he could possibly planning. Ricky showed up to classes, but he was dazed off the entire time. I would say he didn't look at me, but the truth being that he didn't look at anyone. He left during french to go to the bathroom for 40 minutes. Do you know how concerning that is? And why didn't Mrs. Rousseau even notice?
I rushed to my locker as the bell for lunch rang. The longest three hours of my life were up, and now there was no way of knowing what was before me.
Slowly, I felt fabric wrap around my eyes and everything around me turned black. A pair of soft hands took mine, it's calloused fingers rubbing the back of my hand.
"Another kidnapping?" I questioned, causing the boy behind me to chuckle softly.
"You could say that." Ricky mumbled. "You ready for this, baby girl?"
I nodded, my heartbeat growing rapidly faster as Ricky began leading me somewhere. One of his hands was laced through mine while the other was placed on my back, guiding me through what I was guessing was the school hallways.
"If you run me into something, I will never forgive you." I tutted.
"Well, at least I'm not making you walk up these stairs." Ricky responded, removing his hand from my back.
"Stairs? What are you talk- WHOA." I felt the ground come up from underneath me as a strong pair of arms scooped me up. I quickly grabbed around Ricky's neck, holding on for dear life. "How are you carrying me while walking up the stairs?!" I shrieked.
"I have a six pack." He pointed out. "You've seen it yourself."
I smiled at the memory. "Yes it was really nice." Ricky laughed as I felt him slowly lower me down, my tiny feet touching the ground. I didn't feel his presence around me anymore, and I automatically panicked. "Ricky?" I quavered, tightly wrapping my arms around myself.
