While Lillie had gone back to school, Gladion kindly accepted the offer to watch over Ash while he rested at the Professor's house.

Gladion sat at the end of the table, looking across to see a sleeping Ash with a Pikachu resting on top of him.

Back at the school, Lillie and her classmates were happily chatting together.

"I wants to see you all so badly, I came as fast as I could."

"We wanted to see you too!" Lana cheered.

"How's Ash?" Sophocles asked.

"Thanks to everyone's help, he's fine! My brother is taking care of him right now." Lillie giggled.

"So, are they a thing or what?" Lana asked.

"No! Why would you think that!" Lillie deprecated, shaking her head.

"I don't know, Gladion seemed to care about Ash a lot more than anyone." Sophocles remarked, reminding Lillie of all the things Gladion had risked to save Ash.

"What was that about me?" An unknown voice said, the class prayed that it wasn't Gladion or Ash.

"Oh hey Ash! How is your leg?" Lillie shifted her gaze over to Ash, who was in crutches. Gladion followed quickly behind.

"Could be better, though I think I can walk without these things." Ash said as he set the crutches to the side.

"Ash! You can't just set your crutches down, you have to use these for two more weeks!" Gladion berated the shorter teen.

"Fine, sorry Glads." Ash replied, Gladion's face was blushing furiously from Ash's nickname. Fortunately, Ash was denser than a rock and didn't notice.

Though all the girls could totally see the obvious crush that Gladion had.

"Gladion, what's wrong? You look just like a sunburnt Clefable." Lillie asked her blushing brother, she was holding back a stifled laugh.

Sophocles whispered something in Kiawe's ear, making them both laugh hysterically.

"Hey Ash, was it true that your nickname was Ashy-boy?" Now it was Ash's turn to be flustered like mad.

Ash simply turned away, denying everything that related to his nicknames given by his rivals and travel partners.

"Pathetic."

Paul

"What a kid."

Iris

"Smell you later, Ashy-boy."

Gary.

Later that night, the professors had taken a walk on the beach as the sun was setting.

"He can really count on his friends, huh?" Burnet said, both avoiding eye contact.

"Ash is really cool." Burnet added to her previous statement. "I wish I could've been there, to see his reaction to what they were telling him about Gladion."

Kukui chuckled slightly. "Yeah, I do too."

"It would've been great to have you there."

Burnet blushed softly. "We're very alike, Professor."

"I guess."
