Link jogged over to your side, smiling when he saw where the arrow was. His smile only grew when he saw how cheerful you were acting. He found the sudden burst cute. "I'm sure if you continue practising you'll get a bullseye in no time," he stated as he nudged you with his elbow.

"Possibly, but I think we should continue our journey to Zora's Domain. We still have a long way to go," you reminded him as you placed your bowstring over your shoulder. Progress had been made over the last few weeks, but there was always something that drove you two away from your destination. Be it monsters, people in need of saving, or the simple need of rest.

"But this is so much fun."

"And travelling isn't?"

"I mean it is, but we've been travelling for weeks now. I think it's time for a little rest," Link said, in hopes of persuading you. "At least for today?"

"And what do you reckon we do today?" You asked, putting your hands on your hips. The idea sounded delightful, but you wanted to see what he had planned first before agreeing to anything.

"Continue these archery lessons!"

"All day?"

Link chuckled. "Of course not. Maybe we can go to that lake we saw a few minutes ago. Refresh ourselves and all that."

"Sounds like a good idea. We could wash our dirty clothes while there," you said, glancing down at the grass and dirt strains that were all over your tunic. You laughed to yourself while shaking your head. Travelling sure left you messy, but this was something that didn't bother you much. It was part of the journey, though you enjoyed feeling clean every once and a while.

"What's the point? They'll get dirty in a few days again."

"But at least they'll be clean for a bit."

"Still, seems like a lot of work."

You rolled your eyes with a smile. "Oh Link," you sighed, ruffling his hair as you giggled. "Let's just continue this archery lesson."

Link gasped when you messed up his hair and playfully smacked your hand away. He rolled his eyes in return, grin on his lips as he fixed his hair. "Alright," he snickered, grabbing your hand as he led you farther away from the target. He stopped after a bit, turning to see how far the target was. "Let's see if you can shoot an arrow from here."

"From here? We're pretty far away, you know."

"Yes, I'm well aware of that. But at times you'll have to shoot from a great distance," he lectured you, removing his hand from yours before taking a step back. "Now go on."

You huffed out and looked at the target. I can do this. You nocked an arrow between your fingers and pulled the string as much as you could, hoping it would make a difference when you let go. You tried to trust your instincts like Link had done over a month ago when taking down a group of Bokoblins. You breathed out, keeping your eyes on the target for a few seconds and then you let go. The arrow went flying and successfully met its target, but it wasn't a bullseye.

"Good job," Link praised, wanting to keep you motivated. "It'll be harder to do a bullseye from this distance, but I know you can do it."

You sighed and nodded, taking out another arrow from your quiver. The lesson continued for a while, but luckily progress was made. Although you occasionally made a bullseye, you were growing comfortable with the new weapon and that was all that mattered to you. After an hour or so passed, you felt your fingers cramp from pulling back on the bow's string too much. Not to mention your arm was getting a bit sore from the constant position it was being put in.
