Jennie's PoV
"Did you call your driver to pick you up already?"She asked
She's supposedly having fun because it's her birthday but she work her self off because of me. It's her birthday today and how the hell did I not even check the date for today? It's 27th! Argh! I want to slap myself I swear.
"You didn't tell me that it's your birthday today"I said and raise a brow.
"Well... It's not like I'm having a party to celebrate my birthday."She said and flashed a smile.
I just stare at her examining her face. I know it's been a year since we broke up. I should be angry to her as of this moment but why am I angry to myself instead? Okay. Chin up Jennie. You didn't notice the date today and it's not your fault that Lisa's supposedly taking a rest instead of working her ass off in her birthday.
"Can I celebrate my birthday with you?"I looked at her surprise.
What did she say?
"I mean-If you don't have plans of course. If you have other plans you may—"
"Where's Jisoo and Rosé?"I asked cutting her off.
"They called me earlier to greet me and they insisted to throw a party but I didn't agree with it and told them that their greetings is enough then I ended the call."She said and avoided my gaze.
There's no way that Jisoo and Rosé will forget about Lisa's birthday and I already expect that they already wished Lisa a happy birthday. Now I'm getting more guilty. I'm the only one here who forgot about her birthday. Am I the worst?
"Oh , your driver is already here."She said looking at the car who have just arrived then turn to me again flashing a bitter smile.
Tsk.
Lisa's PoV
"Oh , your driver is already here."I turn to her again and flash a smile.
A bitter one. She was furrowing her brows staring at me for a second before getting in the car without uttering any words to me back. My shoulder felt heavy. I should just accept the fact that I'll be celebrating my birthday by myself.
I turn around and started walking. I smiled when I spotted my car. I'm sorry ,buddy.I won't use you for now.I want to walk for now. My house is just a couple of blocks away from where my company is so I think I should just walk for me to breathe some fresh air and appreciate the beauty of the street. I should take a bite at the convenience store on my way—
"Lisa."
I stopped when I heard a familiar voice from my back. I turned around only to see Jennie glaring at me. I looked at her shock. Why is she here?
"I thought you already left?"I said shocked.
"You asked me to celebrate your birthday with you!"She complained .
She's angry again. It's funny because sometimes I find her cute or scary when she's angry. And now I find her cute.
"I thought you already leave that's why I made my way out there."I explained and started walking again.
I slowed down to match her walk of course. I want to be beside her.
"I just went in to get my coat and tell my driver that I'll just call him later to pick me up."She explained too.
