ENCRYPTED : The Man Behind The Mask

IT'S been a week, I and AJ haven't talked to each other because we're on a holiday break. Just few days and we will be starting our trainings.

When the years changes then it marks the start of our another mission here in the Philippines.

Streets, and every houses are decorated with colorful lanterns and lights. I may not experience a white Christmas for the first time but the Filipino style Christmas is much better.

Children are singing Christmas songs lively in exchange of some treats. The 12th midnight.of this day will be the Christmas eve celebration.

We're now busy decorating our Christmas tree with balls of different sizes and colors and also with lights. This was my first time after six years, way back when I was completely a cripple and I haven't killed anybody yet.

"FIVE, FOUR, three, two one,Merry Christmas" We gladly count down together and greeted each other a warm Christmas.

I'm glad that nanay Meldy looks so happy. Together we ate noche buena

In HQ, we don't celebrate holidays. We are always busy in our missions or busy in the training grounds.

After that meal we decided to go to bed than opening the gifts under the Christmas tree. Nanay Meldy suggested that it's better if we'll open it tommorow morning.

I WOKE up late that morning, all of my friends are still in deep sleep. I went downstairs because I know that at this time nanay Meldy is already busy preparing our breakfast.

The kitchen is still quiet, that's unusual. I decided to go to her room to wake herup and greet her a good morning.

I knocked several times but she's not responding. I turned the door knob, the door is not locked. As I open the door what I have seen shocked me.

My legs tremble and flet so week that I had knelt down.

No words can scape on my lips.

I wanted to speak but I cant. I wanted to cry but I can't.

My chest feels so heavy.

I felt so weak and helpless this time.

The floor, It has traces of blood. Her bed sheets are tangled. Broken peices of her mirror are also on the floor.

I scanned the whole house, there are no traces left behind, even nanay Meldy is not here. There is no sign of force entry. The CCTV cameras haven't caught the culprit.

I waked up Van Ashton and Thunder Kade.

"Rogue Argonne, what's wrong?"

"Kadey, a culprit has entered our house and took nanay Meldy."

The words that I have said shocked the both of them. I showed them her room.

" Guys, for now we need to keep this as a secret to them until Reigue leaves this house. She's not strong enough to protect her self"

Van Ashton is right I have to put Reigue away here because she might be the next target of the culprit.

I dialed my phone and contact Mom and Dad. Since they are here at the Philippines thay could take Reigue with them at our house at Batangas.

"Hey Mom, Can you please pick up Reigue here? Just for her safety"

"Sure, we are glad tobe with her"

"Okay, pick her up here at 10 AM this day"

"Sure"

"Okay Mom, Dad bye. Love you both"

To cover this up we planned our moves. We locked Nanay Meldy's room and keep the key with us.

Thunder Kade cooked and prepared the meal. Luckily the girls went downstairs when we're already done.

We just sat on the chairs like usual.

"Where's Nanay Meldy?" Kayisha asked as she picked up a piece of toasted bread.

"She just went out to pay bills" Thunder Kade casually answered.

"Hey, Reigue Mom and Dad will pick you up later."

I could see the gladness on her eyes that she could finally meet our parents for the first time.

As planned she was picked up here by Dad at 10 AM. I hugged Dad tight, he did the same to me.

"I miss you Rogue" he said as he closes tge door of tge car.

Now, everything is fine. I told them to wait for me at the mini gym at home. When I arrived there all of them are already sitting at the couch.

"Argonne, why did you call us for an emergency meeting?" Flare Onyx's tone seems like she's confused.

"Nanay Meldy is missing" I lifelessly told them.

"I thought, she's out to pay bills?"

"No we lied to keep it a secret to Reigue Xenonne" Kadey Interfered

We led them to see how Nanay Meldy's room looked like. We haven't cleaned the mess because we will investigate this now.

The only thing that the Culprit left are the peices of the broken mirror and few traces of blood.

"ZK, CAN I use the school's lab? I just need to examine this blood samples that I have with me."

"Yes you are free to use them, but wait where does that blood came from?"

"Na-nay Meldy is-is abducted" my voice become cracky, I don't let my tears escape my eyes.

There's no time for just crying. Crying can't do anything, this can't solve my problem. I have to stay strong and put words into actions.

I'm the only one here at the school, Zymophore just lend me his copy of the keys.

I found out that there are two different blood samples. The other one belongs to Nanay Meldy and the other one surely belongs to the culprit.

A test tube fell broken on the floor, the air is not that strong enough to make it fall. Now I am sure that someone is here watching over me.

It's not my friends, I know that It's not time for jokes.

I walked closer to the shelf to see who is there, but all I saw is a man on a mask going out of that room using the window.

I can't be mistaken, he's familiar. I ran after him but he's so fast that I can't come closer to him.

The sunlight struck his eyes making me see his uneven eye color. The other one is blue and the other one is red.

I know his masked man.

What is he doing here?
