Chapter 12
Robotnik's Giant Scheme

Sonic was going to keep a sleeping bag in the woods next to the town, but Pine had spare rooms for Sonic and Tails, free of charge. The town of woodsberg was pretty nice. It was like any other country town.

Sonic and Tails went to a little restaurant in town called Fat Rat's. Sonic got 4 Chili dogs and some fries and a slushie and a piece of apple pie. Tails got a big slice of Pizza and a big lime soda.

Sonic: Robotnik was bad enough,but now we have General Frank and Bjorn's stooges to worry about to.

Tails: If I upgrade the Tornado one some more it will help us out alot. I need to add some rocket launches and a sheild.

Sonic was already down with eating his chili dogs and stuff.

Tails: *Laughs* I don't know how you eat that much.

Sonic: *Smiles*

Tails: But I'm sure we'll beat Robotnik and The organization. We still don't know what Robotnik's planning. We know he wants to destroy this town and build a lab and possibly a lair.

Sonic: We will try. It's gonna be challenging with just the two of us vs a army of bandits and Robotnik and his army of robots. The town doesn't even have a sheriff. Pine knows how to shoot a shotgun.

Tails: we'll figure it out.

Tails and Sonic went to their rooms. Tails dozed off in his room, but Sonic couldn't sleep. Sonic was thinking about Robotnik and The GZPO. Sonic was worried about the lives of the Townsfolk and his adopted little brother Tails.

Sonic was worried he might not be strong enough to keep everyone alive. Sonic also kept having memories of his orphanage burning for some reason. Sonic couldn't get to sleep. It was now 12:00 P.M. Sonic walked to the bathroom and took a warm shower to calm his nerves.

Sonic also drank a warm cup of milk. It used to help him sleep as a kid. Sonic went back to his bed and fell asleep, but he soon began to have nightmares.

Sonic saw Robotnik's airship and tons of small ships. The town was wrecked and burned. Sonic saw a rocket heading towards Tails. Sonic ran to his brother Tails, but Sonic wasn't fast enough. Sonic's eyes snapped open.

Sonic: No!

Sonic screamed. Sonic soon realized it was just a nightmare. Sonic had tears in his eyes. Sonic looked at the alarm clock it was 2:45 a.m. Sonic walked outside and sat on the roof of Fat Rat's restaurant. Sonic was just trying to clear his head. Tho Sonic knew that Robotnik or GZPO could attack.

Sonic looked at the forest. He heard the sound of frogs and crickets. Sonic also heard owls and bats. Sonic had really good hearing. The noises calmed his nerves. All of a sudden Sonic saw smoke in the woods. It was coming from Sonic's old treehouse. Sonic ran to the treehouse. It was covered in fire.

On the ground was a note with a Robotnik Sticker.

It read

"You won't win little hedgehog. You won't be strong enough to protect your friends from me. You're not man enough. I'll destroy you Sonic. I will rule this world and name it Robotnik land"

Sonic clinched his fist. Sonic wasn't going to give up fighting for what's right. Sonic wasn't a coward. Sonic wasn't skilled or trained, but he would try his best to keep his friends safe.
