~Be True: Jeremy x MacBook Pro Hard Drive~

Hecc yeah, chapter 2! 

~End of flashback~ 

How was I supposed to date Christine when I loved Mackey so much? I sighed as I trudged out of the hospital, on my way to see Christine. 

~Time skip brought to you by me writing this story in one day~ 

After everyone gave me advice for asking out Christine, I glumly walked over to her. She wouldn't like me anyway, right? Yeah! She probably hates me for almost destroying the entire world and causing the next zombie apocalypse! Maybe Mackey and I could still be together....maybe I could even just tell Christine I didn't like her! Yeah! I could just tell her it was a big misunderstanding and go ask Mackey out! 

I approached her. "Christine,  I need to tell you—"

"I still remember how it felt," she said softly. 

"Uh, what?" I asked.

"You know...to not have to...know anything again." 

A pinch of guilt rose inside as I whispered, "Listen, Christine, I need to tell you something."

Strangely, she smiled at me and said, "Jeremy, I know about your crush on me. Even though you almost destroyed the whole school...maybe even all of human civilization...I would love to go out with you!" 

No, no, no, no, no! I looked around me, seeing everyone staring at me, giving me reassuring smiles and thumbs up. They were all expecting me to say "yay!" or "yes!"

There was no escaping this one, or I was doomed to be a bullied loser for the rest of my life. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I croaked, "Woo-hoo!" 

Christine giggled and hugged me, and I hugged her back. Everyone cheered for us and she tackled her lips on mine. They felt cold and uninviting, unlike my dear hard drive's metal. 

Speaking of hard drive...

I felt my front pocket where Mackey would usually be, but it wasn't there. I checked my other pockets, but Mackey was nowhere to be seen. I started to panic: I couldn't lose the love of my life! I remembered I had it at the school play: so maybe Mackey was there? 

I had to go find it. 

"Excuse me for one second," I nervously said as I pulled my hand away from Christine. 

"Where are you going?" She hesitantly asked.

Before I could answer her, I bolted towards the school. I had to find Mackey: no matter what.
