There it comes this time of year,
When I, you, she and he
Get rid of a word that we hold dear-
A 'me' that can become a 'we'.We may come from the opposite sides of the map,
But our similarities can bridge this gap.
We may be different from one another,
But this is not a reason the mouth can utter.Unity can mean power,
Hands that help each other.
We can build a tower when united,
But may fall and break when divided.Let's discover each other's hearts,
And realize that we are its parts;
It can't make a whole if it misses one,
Let's hold each other's hands and say "We won!"Let's forget our differences,
And celebrate eternal oneness.
Have unity beyond diversity,
But never forgetting our own identity. We are one. This bond will be time-woven,
And 'til the end, let's keep it unbroken.
Unity is the key,
It's not just me or you, it's 'we'.____________________
unearthed a really old poem. I thought i'd share it here.
At a time like this, unity is what we need.
