"Link, we need to go," Sidon cleared his throat, flickering his eyes between both of you. He then jumped into the air and dove into the water, only to poke his head out a few seconds later.

"I have to leave," he said quietly, looking back at you.

"No, I'm not letting you go alone."

"(Y/n)..."

"Link, I'm serious. I know you can fight off just about anything, but I need to be there!" You shouted somewhat desperately. You were going to continue talking, though you paused when the floor shook again. You clung onto Link's arm, waiting for the shaking to stop and when you looked at him, you saw him staring at you with a troubled expression. His face let you know he wasn't going to let you come along, which made you sigh in defeat. You gradually dropped your arms once the shaking stopped.

"Promise me you'll be careful," you mumbled, moving your eyes down. It felt wrong to agree with letting him go off alone, but you tried your best to have faith in him. To believe that he would be able to defeat the monster that was inside the ancient relic.

Link breathed out and pulled you into a hug. His arms wrapped around your waist as he held you close to him. "I promise," he spoke as he lowered his head, resting it on your shoulder. His warm breath tickled your skin, causing a chill to run down your spine. You smiled weakly and hugged him back. It was a pleasant feeling, having his strong arms around you. You almost didn't want to pull away, but you did when you heard Sidon talk hesitantly.

"I... really don't mean to interrupt this, but," the Prince paused, glancing over at the Divine Beast. "We don't have much time, Link."

Link sighed and smoothly unwrapped his arms —though you could tell he didn't want to— and took a step back from you. "I'll try not to take long," he told you, but he knew he would most likely take forever. He simply wanted to make you smile and when he succeeded he grinned.

"Mhm, sure," you said as you moved a bit back. "Here, you'll need these." You removed your quiver full of arrows and handed it to him. "Good luck."

Link took the quiver and looked at you. There was a confident gleam in his eyes that made you smile. He nodded his head, strapping the quiver over his shoulder before jumping into the water. Your heart raced as you watched him swim towards Sidon with ease, which you guessed had to do with the Zora armour he had on. Vah Ruta started trumpet once again, but during this, Prince Sidon spoke to Link. You figured he was telling him what they had to do in order to appease the Divine Beast, and after the noise died down Sidon had Link go on his back.

You chewed on your bottom lip, observing as the Zora swam with great speed toward the beast. As they got closer, the ancient relic began to respond harshly to their presence. Parts of its mechanical body started to turn in circles as more trumpeting sounds emitted, sending large ripples through the water. You got closer to the edge of the dock, squinting your eyes as Sidon swam around the beast. Suddenly you saw it. Large square blocks of ice were being hurled towards the two of them one by one. This caused your heart to beat even more quickly, so much so that you could feel it pang against your chest.

But Link reacted quickly to this. In a matter of seconds, he pulled out his bow and placed a normal arrow between his fingers. Swiftly he rose the bow, drawing the string back as he lined up the shot with ease. He breathed out and let go of the arrow, hearing a ringing sound when it met its target. The block of ice lost its bright blue glow and fell into the water, but there were still two more left. You wondered how he was able to take down each of them while riding Sidon's back, but you weren't surprised. The boy was capable of many things. When the last block of ice fell, the Prince swam towards one of the four waterfalls that came from within Vah Ruta and almost instantly Link began to ascend.
