Saya's POV

I quietly entered my room, not wanting to catch any attention that can possibly lead to many questions about the things that happened today. As long as I closed the door I sighed and stood upright getting my movements back to normal. I decided to sit for a while, taking a rest before I hit the bath. I took my time and looked back at everything that happened today. New classroom, new lessons, new live performance, and a new friend. 'She's not really a new friend but it still counts, right?' I sighed as I continue to think about Kaylee.

"Maybe a bath can clear these thoughts" I stood up and went to the bath, as quiet as possible.

I let the water run down my body, hoping it could ease all of my tensed muscles and calm my head down. I needed this, after a long day, I deserve this. I closed my eyes and let myself dive into my pool of thoughts.

*Flashback*

I'm currently on my way home. I delivered a late order of pastries at a nearby household. They are one of our faithful customers and looking at the couple's happy faces alone whenever they buy something from us is very heartwarming.

I was passing by Riverside when I saw a girl standing at the side. Her brown hair is waving along with the cold breeze. She had her airpods on and she seemed to be looking at the moon. I unconsciously looked up as well and then back at the girl. That's when I saw that she's already crying. Her eyes are shut and her tears are gracefully falling down her cheek. A feeling of sympathy for the girl flashed through me. I am not sure if this is a good thing but I felt like I won't be able to sleep peacefully later if I don't do something.

I reached for a melon pan in my bag and attached a sticky note in it. As much as I want to personally lend her my hankie and give her the bread, my mind can't shove off the thought that she might think I'm some creep. I took my favorite hankie out of my pocket and placed it at the railings along with the bread.

I looked at her for a while and quietly passed through her wishing she'd see the things I left. I took one last glimpse at her after finally crossing the bridge and she's already wiping her tears with her own hands. A girl with such a harmless aura shouldn't be crying. "Use my handkerchief" I whispered. I saw her notice the stuff I left before I run away. I'm not taking any chances to be seen and I also don't want to be late for my responsibilities at home. As I was about to close the bakery I saw her looking at me with my handkerchief and melon pan in hand. I got embarrassed, thinking that maybe she saw me, and hurriedly took the banner stand inside.

I opened my eyes and turned the shower off. I guess there's no helping it when it comes to remembering that incident. Good thing she didn't saw me leave those stuff at the railings. But it lead into another problem; and that is until now I still can't get myself to tell her that I'm the one who saw her at the riverside that night. I stepped out of the bath and went to my room. I almost leaped when I saw my mom sitting at my bed when I entered.

"How's the live show?" she asked.

"It's great. We also announced that we've decided to have our own self sponsored show" I replied while putting on some clothes.

"I'm so proud of you Saya" I faced my mother and saw that she's smiling at me. Seeing my mom happy is one of the greatest sights that I will treasure forever.

"Thanks mom" I came closer to her and hugged her which reminded me of the hug that I and Kaylee shared a while ago. I snapped out of the thought and backed away from my mom. "But still, if you need me to do something for you never hesitate to tell me. I don't want you to overdo yourself again" my mom laughed and patted my head.

"I am fine Saya. Your dad and siblings are there to help me, don't be a worry wart" I pouted at her last words that made her laugh more. I joined in too when I realized I do look funny. "I saw you and Kaylee hugging each other outside a while ago" I almost choked at her confession. "Mind to tell me about it too?" she's wearing that smile that meant more than just a smile.
