"Wait, I may have an idea."

Everyone looked at me expectantly. I swallowed my nerves and continued.

"I'm not originally from around here, but my aunt and uncle are. My uncle was a pharmacist and had his own pharmacy. It was a small business that he had just opened in this new up and coming neighbourhood being built. It's in this big building with a bunch of offices and you would never know that it was there if you were just passing by the area. Not many people lived around there yet. I wonder if it wouldn't have been hit?" I finished, not knowing if it was a good idea, but knowing that we needed to come up with something, fast.

Rick nodded his head, thinking over what I said.

"Where is it?" Daryl's ruff voice asked.

I tried to think about where we were and how far it would take to drive there. "I'm guessing... about an hour long drive?"

"Let's do it," Rick said immediately, taking me by surprise.

I looked back to the man passed out on the bed, suddenly nervous, realizing his fate was in my hands since this was my idea. I prayed that my uncle's pharmacy hadn't been completely looted.

"I'll make a list of the critical supplies we need to treat him," Siddiq said as he went over to his desk and started to scribble on a piece of paper.

"No, we need you to come with us," Rick said to Siddiq.

"There's no way I can leave him right now." Siddiq gave Rick the piece of paper with the list of items we needed, and Rick started to look over it.

Rick ran his hands through his hair. "I don't know what all of this is."

"Look, Rick, I wish I could come, but.." he trailed off as he looked at the man lying in the bed.

"Yah, I get it," Rick replied.

I walked over to Rick and held out my hand, silently asking to see the list. He gave me the paper.

I read the list, knowing exactly what everything was. I knew what I had to do.

"I can go."

"No way," Daryl said instantly.

"What do you mean, 'no way'?" I asked Daryl as my voice raised slightly. There wasn't any time to waste, so I didn't know why he was fighting me on this. They needed my help.

I pointed to the paper in my hands. "I know what all of this is, and I'd be able to find it easily," I said to him. I turned to Rick and raised my eyebrows as if to say "well"?

"You know how to handle yourself out there?" he asked. I could tell he was nervous about letting me come with them, being so knew to this place. But I also knew he understood that it was our only option.

"I was on my own for a long time. I can handle myself," I said.

I could hear Daryl scoff, but I ignored him.

Rick nodded his head as if making up his mind.

"Okay," he said. "You, me and Daryl. Meet us at the front gate in 15 minutes," he said.

Rick left to go pack, Daryl following after him after eyeing me for another moment, looking pretty unhappy that I was going on a run with him. I just stared back until he left. They needed my help, so I didn't know why he was complaining.

I looked back to Siddiq.

"You sure about this?" he asked me. I looked over to the man lying helplessly on the table, and then to his wife stroking his hair and silently crying beside him. I nodded my head.
