I should have known better. I shouldn't have let Becky come over to my house that day. I jut had a feeling that something was going to go wrong.
My parents had met Becky before but that was before things had gotten romantic between us. In fact they were happy that I had a close friend for once. I had friends but I never had gotten close with any of them. More like I had a bunch of acquaintances.
I've always been a loner. I've never been one to talk. Just about everyone in my life made me feel bad about that but that's just the way I am and always have been. But, when it came to Becky, I would tell her everything.
We met at the place I worked at the time called Beauman's. It was just a run of the mill department store and that day for me was just another shift.
