Shy // Calum Hood

Calum's P.O.V.
.
I didn't want Bailey to have to go through another argument with her parents, therefore I concluded on bringing her back with me.
.
My own mother wouldn't be to thrilled with us sharing a bed, however I'm sure she'll get over it. I snuck back into my household, feeling a lot better than when I left it, and crept up the stairs slowly, Bailey's heavy breathing in my ear making it difficult to listen for movement from my parents room.
.
Luckily nothing occurred and I safely brought Bailey into my room. I gently placed her onto my single bed, taking off her coat and covering her in my padded duvet, before getting ready to sleep myself.
.
After removing any outer garments, I sunk onto my mattress next to Bailey, wrapping my arms round her protectively, my mind trailing back to repeat the whole night, as I fell asleep smiling happily. I had my best friend back, and she felt the same way I did.

Rubbing my eyes sleepily, I checked the clock to see it was only 8:27 A.M. and Bailey usually slept in for another hour or so, especially considering how much later we had stayed up that morning.
.
I gently removed my arms from around her and scurried into my bathroom, grabbing my phone on the way.
.
I had to ring the boys and tell them, I had to express my excitement about last night to someone. Besides I knew they were all together as they had invited me to stay the night with them yesterday but I declined, complaining I didn't feel up to it. An answer I was extremely fortunate to of made.
.
I decided to ring on Luke's mobile, considering I had, quite literally, poured my heart out to him the most.
.
He picked up on the third ring, he was always quick to answer.
.
"Bright and early as ever sunshine." He teased groggily.
.
"Me and Bailey kissed!" I practically squealed quietly down the phone before telling myself to calm down and attempting a manly sounding cough.
.
"What, when, what happened?" He pried immediately, before I heard, "Guys, Calum got with Bailey!" And various shouts and hollers in the background.
.
If I was with him he would of given me a steady pat on the back or ruffled my hair, I knew he would of. They all would of.
.
"Put me on loud speaker?" I asked excitedly, I hated telling the same story to each of them separately, it was such a chore.
.
I heard short a beep through the receiver. "Okay go." I heard Ashton shouted.
.
"Okay, well I went to the park instead of sitting on my garage when I couldn't sleep, and she was there too! Anyway, we sort of got in another fight . . . but then I told her everything about the letters and stuff and she told me she liked me back and we kissed!" I shamefully babbled out like a thirteen year old girl.
.
"Nice one man!" Luke praised.
.
"I told you, I fucking told all of you!" Michael boasted, you could hear the smirk on his face, on all their faces actually.
.
"Can you guys come round today? We haven't seen Bailey in ages!" Ashton begged.
.
"Can we come round tomorrow instead? I want to spend some time with her alone." I felt my cheeks become flushed, they were definitely going to tease me for this one.
.
"Sure buddy, have your alone time with your new girl." Michael laughed along with the others.
.
"Thanks, I gotta go because she'll wake up soon. Bye!"
.
I hung up without waiting for their response, and carefully placed myself back under the covers next to Bailey.
I instinctively pulled her closer and nestled my face into her neck, letting my eyes close to try and fall back asleep.

Bailey's P.O.V.
.
"No, Vegemite is disgusting!" I guarded my toast from Calum who was attempting to invade a possibly brilliant breakfast.
.
"It's the yummiest thing ever!" He laughed, scooping a reasonable amount out of the small jar and walking dangerously close with a huge grin on his face.
.
"Oh, you wouldn't dare." I backed up slowly, before I got stopped by the counter behind me.
.
Seizing his moment of opportunity, he lept forward and wiped the sticky substance onto my left cheek.
.
"Calum!" I yelped, racing after his already running body as he laughed like a small child.
.
I chased him into his sitting room, bounding in manically, but when I entered he was nowhere to be seen.
.
"Calum?" My eyes searched everywhere.
.
All of a sudden I felt two arms wrapped around my stomach and was pulled down onto the floor in a heap.
.
"Gotcha!" He laughed loudly, beginning to tickle my stomach leaving me a squirming mess.
.
"Calum, stop, please stop ohmygod." I pleaded, giggling uncontrollably.
.
"Never!" He chuckled, changing his position so he was now straddling me.
.
I felt as his fingertips grazed over my skin, my sides beginning to ache from laughing so hard.
.
He slowed down his tickling at long last and placed his hands either side of my face, beginning to lean in slowly as his eyes began to close.
.
Just before our lips met we heard a stern cough from next to us and I immediately felt my cheeks burn up as Calum lept off me.
.
I looked up to see Joy watching over us, a smile playing on her lips.
.
"What did I just interrupt here then?" Her eyebrows raised suspiciously.
.
"Nothing." Me and Calum blurted at the same time.
.
"Nothing, huh . . . " Joy gave Calum a knowing look before turning her attention to me. "Did you stay the night sweetie?" She smiled warmly.
.
I nodded my head, returning her friendly smile as Calum held out a hand to help me up.
.
"Sorry mum, I know I should of asked. Just it was late and I-"
.
"It's fine honey, you know Bailey's always welcome! I was beginning to miss her, it's been ages! Just as long as you two didn't share a bed then I'm a happy lady." She winked.
.
Oh how I longed for a mother like Joy. For a mother who was kind and understanding.
.
"Mhmm." Calum's cheeks reddened again.
.
"What can I get you for breakfast then Bailey?"
